3 ingredient Caramel Popcorn

Ingredient:
1/4 cup popping corn
1/2 cup sugar
to tbsp butter
2 tbsp of butter will give crunchy caramel popcorn. If you like it to be chewy and softer than add more butter. Total 3- 4 tbsp will do.

    so many People in the comments burnt their caramel by following this recipe. People theis no need to melt sugar by itself, just add a little water in sugar and melt it when its dark in colour put it on a spoon let it cool a bit check between your hands if its hardens and is like glass your popcorn will be crunchy. if you like chewy popcorn take the caramel off the stove before it reaches the crunchy stage,

    I made it and it's really good! Things I did differently: I added a Tbsp Vanilla essence Quarter cup of water with the sugar Used half a cup of brown sugar which is more than normal white sugar.

    What did you melt the sugar with, because you put the sugar into a dry skillet. So, therefore, what did you add to it before you add the 2 tablespoons of butter?

    How much heat do you apply on a scale of low to high? I tried a recipe with water and the end product was watery with sugar particles and it kept drying out all the time so i added more water. Maybe cause i stired.

    Try to lower the heat so it would be easier to control the melting. Sugar burns fast that why I like to you nonstick pan with a large surface area. Also pick up the pot and move the sugar around so it melts evenly. Once you will master this step, making caramel and fudge would be so easy.

    just put sugar in a nonstick pan , then as sugar starts to melt lower the heat otherwise the sugar will burn and it wont taste good

    Word mine kinda burned and you can taste a little burn taste. I set it on 5 (my stove goes to 9) and 10 minutes passed and it was still white but bubbling, so i turned it to 6 and all of a sudden it started turning gold and then brown, once it turned brown i turned the heat off and added the butter, the caramel looked great, then i ate it later and it tasted burnt

    Whisk in a tbsp of baking soda just before you pour the carmel or it will never set. Unless you want a thick sticky mess.
