You don't know me but I've been following you since you were putting music out on soundcloud. I've always been a fan of you just in general. I don't know if you remember this but there was a contest you did that I won. You sent me your album weirdo kidd as well as some leather shoestrings. I still have those shoe strings. I haven't worn them til this day. To see you evolve is so inspiring to those who continue to follow you. Your spirit is one of a kind. Your a phenomal teacher. May God continue to use you.
Always dropping gems I’ve learned so much from you Devvon !🙏🏿🔥
You're a blessing brother man!
Everybody loves Devon your are a blessing for all upcoming producers god bless you brother
Man this is so helpful. Have you posted any videos about setting up your room for optimal vocal recording? Will def be checking out more of your tutorials. Much respect!

This was definitely needed I wasn't sure how I was supposed to get a brighter vocal thank you my g
Devvon is a mind reader💡🔮. Thank you, thank you. Invaluable tips. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great advice Devon! Techincally in the first part is bringing down the gain rather than the volume. Some DAW have that already built in them like analogue desks used to have.
you’re so incredible it’s mind blowing. i’d love to work with you one day. do u work with pop artists or just RNB?
THANKS FOR HELPING ME WITH THE CLIPPING
How can someone so... Kind who share all his experience with us 🙏🎶 ... Be happy tc

Again, you're a complete production GEM Bro! I've got a playlist titled HMD. Just for your videos! I've deleted all other playlists and only kept the ones with tutorials on of the DAWS I'm working with and Maschine Plus. Other than that, HMD all the way!
Man I been recording vocals into my SM7b close af for the past 4 years😭😭😭 taking out 6-10 db of low end through EQ and multi band trying to get everything to not sound boomy. This really helped me. Thank you man! Great stuff!
Appreciate the advice ... needed that
Nice video, D. Very helpful and insightful, as always.
Great tutorial.. also inside of the plug in you can turn the incoming audio 👌🏾💯
Solid and clear tutorials 🙌🏽💪🏽👍🏽

Appreciate you bro !
Incredible craze among millions
Great video, man. This was really helpful. But one thing I've been really struggling with lately is that when I'm recording my vocals, I keep speaking louder to the mic, I've tried to speak slow but it feels like it's taking away the elements from my vocals, would really appreciate your tips on this.
epic as always
first tip blew my mind bro. i was about to skip it! like duh, turn it down, got it... THEN i listened Thank you for going to school so i didnt have to 😂 Make another song with Witt Lowry tho! Love you D

I heard this man voice and I was like, holy shit lol also thanks for the help DEVVOOOOONNNNNNN MUCH LOVE AND KEEP KILLIN IT. I'm new to the channel and hope to learn how to produce my music better, so thank you hella
thanks for the tips
The best I have see so far
if you do the gain stage at the beginning of your mix which is basic, you avoid clipping etc
Thank you sir
Doing gods work 🙏🏽
Get it brother sounds great
Goat, really the goat
hey thanks for them tips you're amazing, just an idea, could you please be doing the tutorials with that other mic without the room ambience, thanks.
This part half the mix getting the vocals clean make the rest of the mixing easy
Super helpful
Damn, why are you a genius. Way better then others on youtube...
I'm using a dbx 286s preamp to -10db. so what you're doing is turning-up your audio-interface while looking at your master-fader inside your DAW. (I think?) That clipping part is a life-saver indeed, because I had no idea what was happening until now... Thanks
Lovely I learnt a lots, thanks
Omg wow thx bro omg u saved me 🙏
Can you do a video on mixing with stock plugins as your a great engineer and I believe that regardless of plugins a mix can still sound its best
Sick Beat 👍
A great teacher ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Thx Dev!! Another trick fr mic placement. slightly off center the mic to the side fr de essing. Angulate it . Especially if the material has a lot of sssss n sibilance
Mans is changing my life
Dope! Do you have a video of typical things to deal with while recording?
Thank you very much for this toturial. Very Clearly!!!
