If you push the little blue dot on the frequency spectrum monitor it'll take you to the settings where you can change the placement of the frequencies to mid/side

You can always use Soothe2, Dynamic EQs (Pro-Q3 / F6 RTA), Neutron Transient Shaper. It's call mid-side processing.

Pro Q3 and F6 are both godsends. I hear soothe2 is a cheat code and the industry standard for this kind of thing. Can’t afford yet. Trackspacer has been great so far.

@@MISCELLANEOUSGOON Yes trackspacer is one of my go to plugins. It will get the job done 💯💯💯

The mid-side feature is nice on Trackspacer. For vox, many times I'll use mid-side mode and side chain the vocal to trackspacer on a stereo bus that contains the instruments that conflict with the vox. It just carves out the middle (where the vocal usually sits) of the stereo bus, and leaves the stereo side information of the bus alone.

I swear I was literally looking at vids of this plugin, and then you drop this 🔥

Quickest way to improve the mix and save time! Got it a few months ago and I definitely love it, you can do the same with a dynamic EQ in m/s but it takes longer and little more knowledge. Devvon always helping us out! 💪🏽

@@HelpMeDevvon Really waiting brother thnq soo muchhh actually we need scientific explanation in this topic like how to visually monitor all those things in daw and make a record out of two track beat.. just to match radio ready songs.. these two track beats are so loud and in low quality that vocals somewhere in btw lag behind or overshoot or don't match the "Tonal quality of music" voice sounds diff and music sounds diff

Ooohhhhh... this plugin gave me an idea, i think i can recreate this with the fabfilter eq. It'll require more steps but the result'll be similar.

Sidechaining the beat to your vocals at a nice frequency with an eq or mb comp so the beat lowers by a dB or 2 for your vox to cut thru

There's is blue dot, once yiy click, you abke to get specific setting which is release or mid/side. And me I use it with fast release and mid informations only. Because vocal need mid place

Id strongly suggest you make a tutorial on how to mix afrobeat type songs, burna boy ,rema , davido, wizkid etc...i can 100% say alot of african artistes and engineers would love it.

good one Devvon , however there is also some advance Mid - side / compression settings inside it that you didnt checkout, click on the small button to your right and you well get to do much better sidechaining the beat with the vocals

so this is dynamic eq sidechaining? you can achieve this in FL for free. it's a bit more advanced, but LifeStyleDidit explains how to do it with sidechaining 808's. you can use that same technique on everything else. really easy to do after you learn it.

so confused, so he creates a send/bus on the lead vocals going into the plugin than sidechaines the plugin to the vocal send?

Can someone please clarify this for me. So if I get a 2 track beat that is too loud, on Logic Pro can I select the beat then head to the Region section and turn down the beat with the gain there rather than using the fader as he explained in the video?

When it comes to vocals it's is a very powerful tool comparable to Soothe 2. I have been using it for 2 years in Studio One, not only with 2 tracks, but I also put it on the main beat bus, and from the main vocal bus I give a sidechain to it. if you click the small dot in the lower right corner of the panel, an additional menu with the L / R and M / S function opens above the Trackspacer label, as well as Atack / Release, which are also very useful.

Hello, my wonderful artists and/or mixing engineers. If you have FL studio, let me save you some time! (However, the video plugin also works perfectly fine.) In Fl studio > Plugins > Patcher > Select preset > Multiband compressor. Put that on the track you would like to sidechain ON, not from. This compresses the frequencies of whatever signal you have the plugin on based on what signal you sidechain to the track and send INTO the plugin. (Route track > Select sidechain to this track only.) In your map tab, click on "From FL Studio" > Outputs > Audio > Select your insert that you routed to the track. Now drag from your new "yellow dot" into the lowest plugin that says: "Connect Sidechain here" Now, go back to your surface and simply turn the knob depending on how much sidechain you want on your selected track. EDIT: (USE dry vocal signal before ANY FX plugins like reverb or delay. This will help it sound tighter and a lot cleaner.) @@TopakliEnes As I stated. First route your audio from lets say track 5 to 2. Turn the Volume to 0 on the green little knob at the bottom. or open the menu and click sidechain to this track only.

why is it that we can only use a Mono Bus as the side chain input on Trackspacer in Protools. It kinda defeats the purpose of the advanced left and right and Mid/Side features. Am I missing something here??

too much latency, just clip gain the beat down and then do the trackspacer when ur ready to mix / rough mix

no, you can use both together to achieve amazing results, trackspacer fastest attack and 10ms release m/s mode and 5-8% depth and before that waves center turn down the lows to centr about 20-17 and then turn down center -1 and turn up the sides +1 so you get enough room for your vocals to sit

What if I have a Vox bus (summing stack) Adlib bus and a dubs bus. Track spacer wont let you side chain to all the busses only 1 bus right? Would I just keep adding the track spacer 2 more times for the other busses?

if you sidechain it to your main vocal the main vocal will duck all necesarry frequencies in the beat (2track) so that your voice can sit in the center of the mix all background voices meant to be in the background no need to sidechain them

Trackspacer is a great plugin, but it is easy to ruin your mix if you go too extreme with the settings. I mainly use it when separating kick and 808 and never go past 20%. Soothe 2, I think, would be better for cleaning up the vocals and the 2-track beat, but you still have to be careful with the intensity of the settings you use.

I've found a better solution that I've been using with trackspacer . Put trackspacer on the beat. After that use waves studio rack with your vocal presets. Then at the top right you'll see sidechain click on that find the beat and tap on postfader and your vocals will feel like it's trapped in the beat. Do this for all of your studio rack, adlibs and chorus and the shit sounds amazing after a few minor adjustments. 😱😱😱😱😱😱
