Aaag China 😒 so much is happening. Don’t even know where to start. I’ve never seen salaries drop this quickly before. Then not wanting South Africans is becoming evident by the day! The UAE has tighten up, they now want you to convert your SACE to a UAE license after arrival, they want experience inside & have also become strict on the type of Teaching qualification one has. It’s a bloody shit show at the moment for qualified Teachers too, but don’t give up. Have you considered Taiwan, UK, Australia?

Yes Babe, this is the new process for China: 1. PCC 2. SAQA 3. TEFL - notary & High court to get apostilled (It doesn’t go to DIRCO afterwards) 4. Take PCC & SAQA to DIRCO to get apostilled Once they’re finalised, you’ll email these to your school so they can use them to apply for your work permit. ​@@Thule_1903

I’m actually so unfair 🥹 how do I focus on ladies only 🥹 I haven’t heard anything too negative, but Asians don’t usually have facial hair, so a trimmed neat one would work on males. Our one colleague has a small one, nothing like a Rick Ross beard though 😅

We were told that some of the hairstyles we have & things we may find normal in S.A aren’t part of the Chinese culture, so we shouldn’t be too alarmed if they want us to change a bit & as a guest in another country, do what they say because that’s not South Africa 🙃 - This was said by a South African by the way. @@talitadimba843

Yes they actually can. I would be lying if I said I knew which of the 30 recruiters hire non-natives ☹️ You’re going to have to add a few and ask them, but you can apply 😁😁😁

Hey Sis! ❤️ Honestly?? It’s a Nope for me, but not because of the school. I’m just not a fan of China, have never been so this was me just liking things 😅 I still find it to be underwhelming, too crowded, bland, lacks colour, nothing wow for me. I think it’s a bigger version of Taiwan, just with more to do. I personally give this adventure a big 0/10 😂😂😂 What is your biggest fear about it?? I have to say Location is a big one for me! I know you’re also a city girl, so you may want to check where you’ll be based, go onto Google maps and even use satellite to check the place out. Be sure you are choosing to work for the right type of school, check the contract properly, make sure there’s medical insurance & ask what type it is, fight for a great package you’re qualified and experienced, don’t let them BS you! P.S - ask if they have western toilets too otherwise you’ll squat like me 😂😂😂 unless you don’t mind of course. Good luck though, China has become something else for black South Africans. Some schools tell recruiters that they don’t want Saffas , so if Tom is working with you great! He’s a nice guy, I trust him, he got me my first interview. If there’s anything else you want to know, pop me a message. I’ll tell it all, will be doing a story time soon 😬

Yoooh and shame I really really do not like China simply because of the so many stories I’ve heard , and nje just no Hayi ngeke just no 😂😂. Let me stay in Taiwan kshuthi . The stories are all the same because we’re not lying 😂😂😂 You can try it out for yourself though , mhlambe you might like it? 😅 but be honest with yourself as well and write down things you are truly concerned about & see if China will be a good fit for you. Remember…if you don’t like it, you can always leave 😅 it’s really that easy, but of course not a wise move if you don’t want to start job hunting from home again. I don’t care who says what, but Korea is waaaaaaay better than China in so many ways for me. The only thing China does better than Korea is salary & vacation days, but even those aren’t enough if you don’t like your surroundings & get annoyed by the things Chinese ppl do at times 🙃

Contact them ASAP, but you’ll probably only get a response next week because today is a public holiday in Korea. Just visit some of their websites so long though and browse for jobs ❤️

You can actually make it easier for them and say cum laude then say what it means in case they don’t know it as Asians maybe refer to it differently. Top student / Distinction / highest honour , find words that will highlight your cum laude Babe 🤩🤩🤩
