This is a video for those people who want to know the difference between working for EPIK and a HAGWON.
I have attached EPIK’s website & other sites where you can apply for Hagwon jobs!
Please be careful of a few things in Hagwon contracts:
* Less than 1- vacation days
* Vacation days that include weekends
* Weekend classes that are unpaid
* Less than an hour’s lunch break
* Lunch break that include you eating with students or supervising them
* Contacts that include unclear payment deductions
* South Africans don’t pay pension
* 3.3% tax is for independent contractors & illegal for E-2 Visa’s although most Hagwons register people to pay this tax
* Your school is not allowed to deduct any money from your account without your consent
* Watch out for Hagwons that tell you to teach other subject in additional to English on an E-2 Visa

*If you ever find yourself in a situation where you want to do a midnight run - TELL NO ONE, not even your new foreigner friends! People can’t be trusted nowadays, so do your things quietly (if it ever has to get here)
