Frozen - I really enjoyed the rawness and idle conversations during this video. I think it gives us viewers more of an insight of your time on the trail and at camp. Great to see that you guys stay in contact and hike together. Not sure about anyone else, but I'd like to see more like this from you and others. I may start doing the same on my channel. -dave

I’m a wildlife and landscape photographer from Townsend Tennessee in the Smokies (one lane road photography). A foggy lens is just part of shooting here. There’s no filter or magical solution. Hazel Creek had a bear attack last year at campsite 82. Nice to know after you’re home, right? The guy didn’t make it. And next time you’re here, I suggest including the Enloe Creek Trail...beautiful gorge carved by a beautiful creek with lots of cascades and beautiful bluffs. It’s above Cherokee. Or including the AR between Clingmans and Newfound Gap while it’s green. Thru hikers get here too early and they don’t see it when it looks like you’re walking through the pages of a really good book. Maybe one day when you’re here we could go sit with some bears for a day...or if you ever need some shuttling when you’re here, just holler. I’m one lane road on all social media. I love your videos

About a month ago I was on the Old Loggers Path. Around 3am I was woke up by something moving around my campsite. I was in a cloud 71 Chameleon so I could see through the fabric. Anyway I peaked out and was practically nose to nose with a coyote. It was freaked out just about as much as me and ran off. No more sleep after that! Got back up, stoked the coals an got that fire as roaring as I could. I spent the rest of the night with an improvised club and my Mora ready to go. Got the hell out of there as soon as there was enough light to hike. I don’t think I’ve ever made better time on trail than that. Either way, good times.

More startled than scared. Waking up out of a deep sleep and that’s the first thing you see is a bit much. DCNR guy said it was probably a juvenile and that there has never been a fatal attack (in PA anyway). It’s all part of the fun of getting out in the woods.

That looks like an autofocus and/or image stabilization issue to me. I'd be sending that camera back where it came from !! Use whatever you used on the AT. If it ain't broke - don't fix it !! At any rate, it was generous of you to skip the ads on this one. But........... I kind of like the ads. I'm always amazed at the asinine places YT decides to stick them in. And I know the ads are what keeps the channel and the gear updated. It's not like it's a death wish to sit through a couple of minutes of ads. Not for me anyway. I'm sure by now you heard of Deanna Smith's untimely passing. What a tremendous lose to our little inner circle who love oogling over their website and wishing we only had those few extra bucks for our own dream Dream Hammock. Thanks for the video. Maybe we'll cross paths at Oil Creek or Minister Creek this winter.

Am afraid to ask… but what is the new camera? I’m aware of the GoPro woes, but I noticed a lot of jitter which typically isn’t there?

Did you watch the intro? I used too slow of a shutter speed. Shouldn't happen next.time.

I'm not going to lie Frozen. When you were in that house moving room to room all I can see is the Blair witch project and you turning to a corner and dropping the camera.

You talked briefly at the end of the video about your rain gear. I didn’t understand your comments. Help me out. What worked well and what didn’t?

Sorry if it was not clear some of the clips were lost so even though I talked about it somethings probably didn't make sense. I have a new rain jacket in the Enlightened Equipment Visp. I came from an Outdoor Research Helium 2. The Visps first trip (this one) was great it rained each of the 3 days for about 1-2 hours and it dried out overnight each time. It did not wet out. But it's brand new the true test will be after the DWR (durable water repellent) wears off and is refreshed by me. Murica's (my buddy at the end) has a newly DWR refreshed Helium 2 and his wet out very quickly where mine did not.

Havnt watched frozens videos in awhile. Does anyone know what's up with his calves? Did he have surgery?

Hey Scott, I was hit by a car in third grade, I think I was about 9 or 10. What you are looking at is a skin graft on my left calf. I'm lucky to not have lost my leg. I had a lot of books in my backpack that day and the backpack saved my leg. Didn't even get a broken bone. I was laid up in the hospital for the entire month of April, and physical therapy to help me learn how to walk again over 4 months.

@@FrozensAdventures I don't know how I never knew that. Although I havnt watched all your content by any means, I have watched quite a few videos and just never noticed it I guess. Praise God you recovered and are not only able to walk but walk more miles than most can while backpacking.

I gotta ask..why do you think you got ghiardia in the past opposed to all the times you’ve filtered water and we’re fine. That’s one of my big fears with backpacking lol

I was having lunch and figured I could just boil my ramen noodle water instead of filtering. Didn't let the rolling boil happen long enough. Picked up giardia on the way home 2 days later.
