3 Day Solo Hiking One of West Virginia's Best Backpacking Loops
Ойын-сауық
This is my 3 day solo hiking in West Virginia's George Washing National Forest!
This is a pretty dry trip first and foremost. I recommend bringing at least 3 liter carrying capacity. Camel up at streams and you will be fine. The terrain is fairly easy, some ups and downs but nothing crazy. Campsites are everywhere and there isn't a big need to do extensive planning. Enjoy!
If you haven't tried a water bottle bidet yet: Bidet amzn.to/3Dmg6vH
It's been a game changer for my backpacking trips.

Your feedback is noted and I've heard this before from others. I'd like to take some time to create something a little better, maybe on a professional level on fiverr or something. Great video and hike. I agree with you on the water bladders also. I used to use them but went back to bottles, as the bladders added weight where I didn't want it, but I did find a good use for a single bladder with a short hose and bite valve. Simply hang it from a branch with the valve dangling and you have a gravity fed mini water tank with the bite valve as a faucet, for cleaning etc. Stay well.....

Great videos man, I want to get out on a longer hike like this. Question, I recently got the sea to summit telos tent and put it up to test it in the rain for a 12 hour storm.. It either leaked or the condensation was bad enough that a couple oz of water pooled on the floor and there were drops all along the body ceiling. It was pretty heavy rain but is that normal/acceptable? I feel like no.. it would have gotten on me and my down bag
@FrozensAdventures
2 жыл бұрын
So I had this same issue minus the pooling in this Zpacks Plexamid tent. If you check out this video : kzread.info/dash/bejne/i5imtbKuaNfLpdY.html you can see one such morning where it was very foggy and had been raining since about 8pm or so. If you notice from the video the pitch of the tent is not ideal and the door was shut. Are you closing your doors at night? If you can try leaving it open.
@maximusjoseppi5904

@@FrozensAdventures thank you for the response! yes, its a freestanding tent with a fly and i had the fly doors closed because there were periods of heavy rain. I think it might even be a design problem because the way the tent pole widening section is designed creates a flat spot and looks like condensation is able to form droplets but they have no where to fall except down onto the tent body, subsequently, onto me. unlike your tent which had an angled pitch allowing drops to fall at least. gonna have to contact the company i think.. thanks again!

My first rattler was on North Fork Mt also, by the flat screen tower. We had stashed water there for our hike. Got our water, climbed the tower and when I came back down that big rascal was down at the bottom of the concrete foundation lol Have no idea where he came from 😅
