I have the f1.8 and the f1.2 in 50mm. Love them both; the little one fits in the pocket, goes everywhere and always ready and the big one is an unstoppable beast when I need it.

For apsc users I`ll suggest: Sigma 16mm 1.4, 30mm 1.4 and 56mm 1.4 (😁 I know all Sigma, but they are all good and budget friendly), second choice would be 7Artisans 35mm 0.95 (manual focus lens) and an 85mm 1.4 . For full frame users: Samyang 18mm, Sony 35mm 1.4, and an 85mm 1.4 . Cheers.

The difference between a T stop and an F stop is that an F stop is calculated using the lens specs, and a T stop is measured by passing light through the lens and marking where the stop lands. T stop is a “true stop” and the F stop is a “focal stop”.

Your approach to reviews are always my favorite. You make reviews with a creative, storytelling approach. And usually focus less on pixel peeping, and more on real world applications. They’re just insanely entertaining to watch. And it’s a good habit to think more about use-cases than just getting distracted by all the shiny popular reviews for gear that might not be needed.

Changing reviews to prime is good as well. I mainly prefer zoom lenses review since I already bought primes 1st, and you need to be careful to keep the sensor clean changing lenses every time. 3:12 Nice horse bro

I don’t understand. You are shooting on apsc body but using and quoting full frame focal length. The 50mm is not 50mm on cropped sensor. Please clarify.

So, the 50mm g master sony lens would actually become a 75mm (50x1,5) on the sony fx-30, right ?!. Would you still recommend it ? I'm also tempted by the 7 artisan 25/35 1.05 mm but I don't know if the lack of autofocus would me too much to sacrifice ..... Anyway, great content

Depending on scenes. Talking head = A7III Product = BMPCC6K + Sigma 18-35 Outside A/B Roll = A7III/FX30/BMPCC6K mostly

hey I know you don't suggest zoom lenses but I have very tight budget. I need one lens for overall use (documentary making, traveling) with FX30, like a kit lens, what do you suggest? (around 700 800 usd)

@@bahadirozer5044 Sigma 18-50 2.8 seems like a nice alternative. FX30 supports focus breathing compensation only on sony lenses, but Sigma is still nice. It's also lighter and has very close focusing distance.
