What are your thoughts on these lenses?

Wow. Great footage with that lens! Looks fantastic & brings a real warmth to the shots. I'm waiting for my 35mm T1.05 to arrive to use with my FX30. Hopefully it will pair nicely! Nice video.

Be honest with you I’ve been eyeballing them for a bit now and your one of the KZreadrs I use for confirmation. So, since you like them my consideration is heightened now

I think it’ll be an awesome pairing with that, I filmed a wedding yesterday using them and stuck the 35mm on my a7c and put it in crop mode, but turns out that the 35mm actually just about covers full frame! (There is some vignetting but not too bad)

I really like the shallow depth of field and light they allow to get in the lenses. Would it make sense to use one of them for talking head shots video in a controlled environment or do you think this is an overkill?

Nice work, great information! What do you think about filming inside the gym and outside too, for vlogging, gym content and making reels for Instagram with this lens?

& what about 35 mm t2.0 it is suitable for sony zve10 for cinematography??

Which one is better 25 or 35

Hi there. If I wanted to experiment with a manual cinema lens (a budget one), I guess a 35mm would be good focal length for my FX30. These artisan look good. Which one would you choose: 7artisans 35mm T1.05, or the Sirui Night walker 35mm T1.2 or the older Rokinon 35mm T1.5 DS? I don't want to spend too much money since I already own the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and the SIgma trio 16/30/56mm f1/.4 but I would like to do some personal /low budget projects with a manual cinema lens-they look cool for sure...which one would you choose to go with my FX30 (I got the smallrig Mini matte pro...yep I'm out of control here!). Out of those three, I’ve only tried the 7 artisans and rokinons. I would honestly avoid the rokinon ones, the Night walkers look great! They’re a little cheaper i think, but don’t open up quite as wide, but stil super fast aputures! But obviously i cannot speak to their actual image quality

I’m new to the videography photography scene but just purchased my zve10! Can someone please explain the difference between the two lenses he’s comparing in this video??

Since there is a lot of slowmo, this was most likely shot in 1080p. Sort of wish you would have shot in 4k. Looks very soft from 1080p, but 7artisan lenses are also notoriously soft.

Yeah I used 1080p, I find if I’m doing anything handheld on the zve10 i tend to use 1080p 60. Still good quality, but not bad rolling shutter compared to 4k

Hey amazing video! just purchased the 35mm lens! i was wondering if you ever use any filter kit lens with the Artisan lens and if you do which size filter lens should I get for my 35mm artisan lens?

Personally no, but i also haven’t used it in extreme heat for long amounts of time. I did do a wedding with it not too long ago and it was fine. But different outdoor temps and weathers will change that

did you had a greenish tint in your footage before grading?

Its been a while since i edited this, I may have... I often find that Sony colors from the ZVE10 have a magenta tint for skin tone. but if I did, i would have done some color shift as part of the grading system, not before. if that makes sense

Before I buy, may I ask if there any setting changes before using this lense with sony zv e 10?

What do you mean by setting changes? What kind of settings do you have in mind? Also, I’d encourage you to check out the other cine primes i tested out a couple months after these ones (I love both, but lean a little more towards the ZY-Optics ones)

Did you need an adaptor? Sony z ev10 isnt recognising the lens.

No adapter, but the lens doesn’t have any electrical connections, aputure and focus etc are all manual on the lens only

Did you shoot in 1080p or 4k?

I did, i used the freewell variable nd with most filters, 2-5 stop and 6-9 stop. I can add a link to them in the description

if you know what youre doing, you can get fantastic image quality out of this combo. restrictions are obviously that there is no 4K slo mo, and pretty bad rolling shutter in 4k. so i stick with 1080p for the most part

Hey! Sorry if i missed it, it’s hard to get to all comments. Any lens works with a rig build in theory. I’ve done 2 rig builds for the zve10, the cheap one will work but i haven’t got rails on it to use a follow focus system, so you’d have to focus the lens with your hand. With my first rig build that i put out a year ago, it does have rails and would be very easy to add a follow focus to. For cine lenses like these it’s very handy to use a follow focus system as they don’t have any autofocus. But obviously they do work fine without
