These 3 spritzes are all great, but Tara and I had our favorite. These recipes have been on our website for years but apparently, the Hugo Spritz was just named the top drink for Summer 2023 and is having a moment on Tiktok which we didn't know when we filmed this video. These can all be customized so if you like lower alcohol, use more club soda and skip the prosecco. The recipe ingredients are all in the written description. As always, thanks for liking and sharing our videos.

I would love to try the Hugo Spritz with Elderflower syrup. Thanks for sharing these recipes with us. They're a great way to start off the summer.

I'm deathly afraid of opening prosecco, and it didn't dawn on me that I can forego that and just use club soda until this video.. thanks guys!!

Can you do some non-alcoholic drinks that aren't iced tea and lemonade?
@SipandFeast
11 ай бұрын
We do list a few non-alcoholic alternatives to some of the drinks on our website. For example, you can make the Hugo Spritz non-alcoholic with elderflower syrup, club soda, splash of lemonade and garnish with the mint and lime. For our pumpkin mule you can omit the vodka, increase the ginger ale and use a non-alcoholic spirit, like Seedlip Spice, or something else. For our blackberry bramble replace the creme de mure with blueberry syrup and replace the gin with a NA gin. There are a lot of brands that make NA spirits now (Seedlip, Monday, Ghia, etc).

Elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and pear vodka makes my favorite cocktail - the French tickler!
My favourite easy spritz that I borrowed from a local Italian restaurant is 1/4 cup Campari; 1/2 cup Pinot Grigio; and a 200ml bottle of san Pellegrino aranciata Rosso (blood orange soda) served in a stemless wine glass with lots of ice and an orange or blood orange slice as garnish

Finally some content for us heavy drinkers 🙏🏼

You can do a lovely lemons and limes with club soda and simple syrup. I have done that before and great on a hot day with plenty ice.
We were just in Italy and Sicily and I could not get enough of the Aperol Spritz. Thank you I love all your recipes❤
Leave the cage on the cork before you open! Gives you more grip and control 😎
Love u two and these 3 spritzes! Love the oj technique in Aperol spritz , will try that to cut the slight bitterness. Want to try Hugo Spritz.
Jim with the zinger at the close. Priceless.
Very nice cocktails, Jim & Tara! Thank you for sharing these with us. I will mention as a liquor substitute that Contratto Bitter and Contratto Aperitif are nice alternatives to Campari and Aperol, as they don't use artificial coloring and instead use natural, vegetable-based coloring. Bruto Americano is also a nice Campari substitute that uses cochineal (beetle-derived) coloring.
95 F and humid today in Minneapolis. These look delightful!!
Love Tara's haircut and even better... She clearly knows her stuff when it comes to cocktails. She inspired me to get some aperol tomorrow to mix with soda on Saturday. Awesome video guys. Thanks again.
The still shot of all 3 drinks is gorgeous, so colorful! Looks like a professional picture that belongs in a drink recipe book. 👍🍹
Was in Italy a few weeks ago - 36C (@100F) - Campari Spritz every evening, just fabulous! Thanks guys 👏
I enjoyed this video. More Sip content, please!
couldnt come at a better time. looks delicious!
They look Devine I don’t care that it’s only a few more days of summer… I am absolutely making these!❤
Yay- love Tara on these videos - AND I love a bitter drink! I just got a "red bitter" I hadn't had before for summer spritzes (and I love it with grapefruit soda water). My sister loved limoncello, we would probably have made it with lemon soda water or maybe Aura Bora meyer lemon and ginger for her.( I also made a spritz with their elderflower water and it was great !)
Angostura bitters puts an Aperol spritz over the top. Gives it an extra something I really like. They all look great.
My ultimate cocktail...Paloma with a splash of Campari..Heaven! Love you Jim, but Tara really elevates the channel!! ;)
Great stuff guys, it's a ton of fun to see you two interact with this type of content. An awesome way to mix it up. Can't wait to make these! I know my wife is going to love them.
these all look good..my go to is the Negroni or a Campari Spritz...my limoncello i use really mostly in baking...occasionally a shot with a splash after dinner..
my mouth is watering looking at those... looks amazing!
Having my second limoncello spritz tonight and digging them. Thx for the recipe!
Yea Tara! They look gorgious, it's so cool that you made them!
Aperol Spritz brings me back to the days when I used to work in Milan, finish work on Friday, drive around half hour to look for a parking spot and catch for a Spritz with my friends, usually with a buffet of carbs called “happy hour”
You guys nailed this. Beautiful.
Super fun video! Thank you both for sharing.
These look fabulous!
oOH this video is timed so perfectly hehe I've been looking for new drink recipes
Thank you. Loved them all. God Bless and stay safe.
this looks great!! def gonna give this a try❤❤❤
Thanks for a different video. Really enjoyed it and will have to make some summer drinks now! Cheers!
Thanks for these delicious cocktails. I’ve been drinking all 3 for many years now. I’m very particular about the lemon cello so don’t drink that as often as the other two. Keep the cocktails coming!
Aperol spritz is one of our favorite refreshing summer drinks. I’ll definitely try the others now.
We love the S&F family! After making tens of your pasta and pizza recipes, now you're adding to our cocktail repertoire. Many thanks.
All three of those looked really refreshing. I cannot believe that you didn't have the taste tester try these! His reviews would have been priceless, especially after the third one. Ahahaha! I'm sure you know, I'm just kidding. 😁 This was a great video. Thanks to both of you.
I'm gonna have to try one of these soon, wow.
I’m going to make them. Thanks!
Absolutely "Love" your videos!! I bought a bottle of Aperol and still haven't tried it BUT!! Tonight is the night. Your recipes are awesome ...... we live in Florida now but I am a born and raised Jersey girl and have always loved Italian food. Keep the videos coming!! God bless you and your beautiful family.
The classic Vintage club soda!
I have enjoyed trying several of your recipes; but after the week, well month I've had, I am especially looking forward to this one 😮💨 So thank you in advance!
These look great. Will try one tonight because I have Aperol.
Ok side bar! The Taste Tester is totally Tara’s mini me! Great cocktails.
While I’m more interested in the cooking, this was a great one! Also I’d like to say that the lady of the house should be more often in the videos.
Oh I will definitely be making it! I love to make my own wine spritzers in the summer so this is right down my alley. I am new to Aperol. I bought a small bottle a couple weeks ago. I will try it first. Low ABV in summer is nice when it is HOT outside.
My son took my daughter to Italy for her birthday. They went on a tour of the factory and she brought me back a bottle of Limoncello. NowI have a drink recipe to use it in 😊
Good drinks for card club!!!
I don’t care about the chicken/pasta police! Cacciatore with penne is a staple recipe in the winter season for us! Plus, we also put Romano on red clam sauce/bucatini! Yes, we live dangerously 😜. The drinks look really yummy…I’ll be trying them this summer for sure!
❤❤❤ These look so refreshing and tasty 😋! I love trying new drinks 🍸! I love 🍋, limes and oranges 🍊 and who doesn't love a mixer drink with fruit. Cheers! I like the colors too! You guys are my kind of people...Enjoy a refreshing drink and relax by the pool. Summer drinks to look forward too every season. Great drinks 4 friend gatherings. Cook outs. I rather have a mixer than beer. I'm not a beer gal.
not really a drinker but these simple ingredient drinks might make me try it out!
I went to buy St-Germain to make the Hugo, and boy oh boy is it so delicious and super refreshing! 👍🏼👍🏼🍈🍾🥂
I’ve never been a fan of limoncello even after making my own Side by side i made a grapefruit cello which is delish! Makes a wonderful spritz!
Maybe a 7 Up in place of simple syrup and club soda. That’s what I learned in Cuba for a mojito plus a couple dashes of angostura bitters. Plus nice fresh muddled mint and a good white rum.
When I was in college, my best friend at the time and I used to go to an Italian chain restaurant often, Johnny Carino's. They had this cocktail they called an Italian margarita (renamed Johnny's margarita) which is definitely heavier but still excellent for sitting on the porch/patio/deck. It's tequila, triple sec and amaretto with lemon and lime slices and either crushed ice or on the rocks but it would be awesome with club soda to lighten it up and lower the alcohol % a bit LOL! Once we got the recipe down we made them all the time and sat out back while grilling something 😁 Good times!
I've been living in Germany the last 19 years and these are all popular summertime drinks. For future consideration I recommend sgroppino, quite possibly the most refreshing warm weather drink ever.

@@garlicgirl3149 lemon sherbet/sorbet, vodka and prosecco. Put 2-3 moderate sized scoops of the sheet in a blender. Add a shot of vodka, cover with prosecco and blend until smooth. I think limoncello would make a good substitute for the vodka. Enjoy!
Fantastic video! I bookmarked this bad boy. Mr. Sip, Your wife, Tara can hold her own. You need to practice being the assistant. But nothing starts out perfect. You do food and Tara does drinks??? Great expansion for the channel and you both cannot lose. Thanks for making this.
Holy Crap, I love this channel and watching this couple and their great children. I am so happy that this one came out today, it's 106* here in the great state of Texas. Hellzapoppin' Now!!
I searched your channel using White Lotus in the search bar. NOTHING. Feeling thirsty and let down. Darn it all.
Yummy drinks 🍸
You two are a great match!
YAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! thank you for this one :)
I would suggest giving any fresh herbs used as a cocktail garnish or in cooking a few good whacks with the back of a chef's knife before using. You'll see some noticeable bruising and it will bring the essential oils right to the surface in a big way much more so than the light slap demonstrated here 😁
Need this in 100plus wearher, ugh😂😂
I put the mint in first on the Hugo. 😊
Great! I'm cooking an Italian style meal for a group of friends next week, one of these would be awesome for after the meal. I think the Limoncello spritz would work, it's going to be in steamy hot southern Indiana right on the Ohio River, and a nice cold refreshing drink on the back patio after eating would be perfect.
I like Everclear in lemonade.
They all look delicious, but, the Limoncello would be my favorite, Tara is so pretty!
I discovered spritz in Venice last December. Pretty sure the Aperol (sp?) came with an olive. Anyway, glad to see these recipes.
Love your content and it is so great to have Tara part of the show! Did anyone ever tell you that you both look so much alike?? Everything looks delicious 😋
It's funny that people freak out about chicken with pasta when every Italian and Italian/American restaurant in the US has at least 1, if not 5, chicken and pasta dish(s) and chicken is an option on like 5 others LOL! These gate keepers would lose their minds over Demos' in Tennessee. I used to go to the now shuttered location in downtown Nashville (pandemic victim). The food was amazing. Love the signature brown butter spaghetti 😋
Love how Tara took the lead on this video, though she said on one of the podcasts she was only an occasional drinker. 😂
Off-topic: I appreciate all the blind test videos you done, they are very helpful. Have you considered making one such video comparing different dehydrated pasta products? I've always bought the cheapest pasta I could find, but one time I bought one of the most expensive ones to see if there was a difference and I found that the expensive one felt rougher and like it was always al dente. Needless to say, I didn't like it (I like soft pasta). I would love to see you make a video trying a bunch of different pasta products and determine which one is the best quality for your tastes or if those expensive ones are even worth it. I tried fresh restaurant pasta once and it was delicious, it melts in your mouth. Ideally that would be the way to go, but unfortunately nobody has time to make fresh pasta dough every time.
That’s interesting to me about Tara saying proseco is dry. Compared to Californian sparkling wine, the proseco I’ve had is always quite a bit sweeter, which would be nice with the tart citrus in your cocktails. And French champagne is always drier than sparkling wine and proseco. I always thought that was the difference. Nice drinks! I’ll make them !
you should muddle the mint leaves first in the Hugo spritz, not just add mint. It will last much better! I also use more liqueur than just one ounce, do at least 2.
I'm a big fan of Campari and Aperol! Negroni or a Spritzer! I never considered Limoncello! A local restaurant chain, Anthony's Hearthfire does an Elderberry Spritzer using St. Germain, Campari, Champagne with muddled Grapefruit over ice in a Goblet.
If ,you have anymore drink recipes - that would be appreciated, alcoholic or not, warm or hot, especially this time of year, thank you
Great Video. I love your dress- so pretty.
They`ve made Cinzano Pro-Spritz prosecco (same company that makes Aperol). It`s a bit sweeter than ordinary prosecco and Aperol Spritz (very good with just ordinary prosecco) becomes almost perfect
A drink I got from film (The Big Lebowski) was the White Russian. Has to be made with cream, not milk.
What about non achol drinks for summer?
Can you use basil in place of mint in the limoncello spritz?
St. Germain's is excellent. It mixes well with so many things.
I swear - it's like you guys are reading my mind. I was just planning the menu for our upcoming RV trip and I wanted some fresh summer drinks for the afternoons so I was already planning on Aperol Spritz, but now I'm adding Elderflower Liqueur and Limoncello to my list so we can mix it up. :D I love the tip about the fresh squeezed orange juice for the aperol spritz! Can't wait to try that.
Jim! I remember the first cocktail i leaned from you 5yrs afo. Jalapeno margarita. Good times. These are awesome too! Way to.go buddy. Btw...you know you out kicked your coverage right! *high five*

I'm gonna make all these tonight. We're gonna party! 😅😅
My wife just said, "Tara looks hot". I nodded in agreement. 😊. You guys rock.
From the Wine Spectator: "...normally dry... However, there are typically some clues on the label to let you know how sweet or a dry a Prosecco will be, just like with other types of sparkling wines. From driest to sweetest, the categories are brut, extra dry or extra sec, sec, demi-sec and doux." Who knew? I thought the name gave the clue.
I love limoncello! What about Compari - any recipes with that?

When I saw your foot wear in the garden, I couldn’t help but think of a SNL skit, “Matt Shatt” with Margo Robbie. Watch it, you’ll know what I mean! 🤣
I plan on trying the limoncello spritz this weekend. Seems like the perfect thing to cut through the heat in North Carolina right now. Whew!
What about straight warm tequila.
I'm not much of a Bartender or a Cocktail Drinker but shouldn't you MIX/Stir these Drinks?. The Taste Tester is at Camp and we're watching Tara and Jim making Cocktails 💖
Spritzas
I'd party with you two!
I doubt the story about the origin. As far as I know these spritzes originated in South Tyrol - the German speaking region of Italy. It is plausible because Spritz is short for Gespritzter - both German words.
I’ve never opened a wine bottle like that. Wonder if I could successfully.
