This is why aiming is important not only for the response but also dealing with reflections.

Thank you for this practical comparison of 2way v 3way! Very helpful :)

This one of the reasons I'm gonna run a 2 way with widebands, everything from 200 hz up playing on axis, point source & high up.

Given the physical distance between your door mounted mids and sail mounted tweeters you might can try 12 db slope crossovers and reverse the polarity of one set of speakers. The mids and tweets may blend better in that configuration and give you a better defined center image. BTW I love your vids. Keep it up and good luck at EMMA.

In my experience 2way should be measured without driver. Seems if you measure with parts of your body (legs chest shoulder etc) between the speaker in the lower doors and the mic the result of the measurement tends to be off compared to a measurement without body. 3way is not so bad because there are less direct obstructions. Try to measure sitting in the back of your car and then moving mic method where the drivers head would be about 30 to 40 cm in diameter.

I finally got the courage to put my 6.5 midrange and 1.75 inch tweeter facing me from the dash ..... the imaging is 1443% better than flat
