2NE1 were next level in Kpop. They are a defining group and an era.

They arent called the Golden Era for nothing. Idols in the Second Generation made it a lot more easier for idols today to be recognized while they earned everything they have today from scratch yet no one seems to recognized their hardworks especially those new generation fans. They knew nothing about KPOP. You should dig more especially live perfornances in MAMA because MAMA AWARDS today is nothing to be compared to MAMA before. 2NE1 and BIGBANG are the queens and kings of live performances! Please check out I LOVE YOU MV or CRUSH LIVE od 2NE1 or GOOD BOY by GD and YB from MAMA. Thanks for appreciating the girls! Its a big deal for us that there are still people out there making reaction videos to share their relevance to the KPOP world especially their had their 10 year anniv last few weeks ago. Thanks!

Yesssssssss 2NE1. They are the BEST! I miss the 2nd generation kpop artists!

Every time I hear this song I cry because of everything they been through not only as a group but individuals you can't help but to imagine the symbolism of the video connecting to their real lives.

The way they disbanded really was messy considering how successful they are in their era 💔 thank you for appreciating our queens. Also, during their 10th year debut anniversary, the 4 of them got together. It was beautiful and just touching 🥰

BIGBANG and 2in1 are the best groups in the kpop are really talented so they are considered legends

I used to smile or laugh or simple be happy whenever I listened to 2NE1. But nowadays, I cry a lot listening to their stuff. Omg, that k-stage moment, just wanna hug each of them!!

You guys should check out their live performance of Crush during their concert, it's awesome!! No girl groups today could surpass their stage presence, not yet at least. 2NE1 is LEGEND!!

2ne1 disbandment hit so many people hard. The whole situation was messy and indeed just not fair. Please react the Minzy, girl with the red hair, Ninano and All of You Say. Also Park Bom, girl the black hair, Spring and 4:44 (not sure if you've reacted to Spring unless I'm confusing it with somebody else)

It's kinda dumb to say "new gens will never understand". I've been into Kpop since 2011 and I've seen a whole bunch of 'new gens' - people who never touched Kpop until 2018 or even 2019 be able to take the time to learn the history and listen not only to 2nd gen groups but 1st gen as well, and understand, appreciate and come to love them. Rather than being dismissive or elitist, we should always endeavour to educate and introduce new young fans to the legends of old. There's nothing that means they "will never understand" - and the fact some are wilfully ignorant about older gens doesn't mean we shouldn't appreciate and support those that are open minded.

@@oliverhughes610 but the thing is unless they were there telling them or educate them about it, it means squat... there are things for what you had to be there to get them, Kpop is one of them, I just watched someone react to BB and called them mediocre in total lack of respect, so there are things you have to be there to respect them and understand them...

@@everuby4787 That's not true. As with any music or cultural export/media, learning about the past, going back and absorbing it means plenty. The only thing that you can only understand by "being there" is the enjoyment of a group actually being active, promoting, coming back etc in the same way one can enjoy that about active groups they follow now. People don't have to like any group. No one is obligated to like Big Bang's music. I didn't much care for it when they were in their heyday - in fact I've come to retrospectively enjoy listening to them more now than I ever did in the early-mid 10s. It's not disrespectful to respond objectively to music. Certainly BB deserve tremendous respect for the role they played in expanding the industry and its international exposure, the influences they've had on other groups and so on, but that doesn't mean you have to like the sound of the music. And "being there" certainly doesn't impact whether or not one can develop this respect or not - it comes solely down to the maturity of the individual. The average kpop fan is young and immature. It's as simple as that.

Just got into kpop through Blackpink and while going through this rabbit hole, I see the influences from 2ne1 and Big Bang. Even though I haven't listened to enough of them yet, I acknowledge them for paving the way for other artists such as Blackpink. I hope Blackpink does the same for Babymonster in the future.

Another great 2nd generation group would be Infinite (although their style is very very different from 2NE1 and BIGBANG) but they had their own highlights. They were the first group who performed for Billboard so they set a very important milestone. Some songs I could recommend are The Eye & Tell Me (their most recent tracks, since most of them are in military right now). Hoya (you reacted to his solo songs) was part of this group till 2017.

BP been dubbed as prettier version of 2ne1. They both from same company. You could see how their music kinda have own same YG signature. I found its really impressive how 2ne1 did that without strong visual members(except dara) as visuals are usually a fast route to cultivate a fandom in kpop . As they not focusing too much own members visual, the music video tend to be deeper with great storyline n lack of focus of choreo. Its kinda refreshing to this day as kpop music/music videos are usually heavily choreo oriented. Check out another 2ne1 song missing you and i love you! The songs are really good with aesthetic music videos.

I think the video is about people trapped on their virtual life while falling apart from their families and loved ones... she says where are you? where are you? even though the guy is right there next to her. They show her enabling him breaking the pills and making as if she didn't notice the problem while he gets farther away from her he shaves his head and stays completely out till she fell into it herself, but CL started fighting against it and she and the other girls destroyed the fantasy so there is a solution and an option... at least it is what I always think when I watch it.
