I still listen to a lot of 2ne1's music, just fucking fantastic work. KPOP has never sounded like this since and will never sound like this again. 2nd gen > can't believe KPOP is entering a 5th generation already... I feel old as hell.

Not even 10 seconds in and I'm already feeling ancient... I can't believe I've experienced 15 years of kpop... 😭 I love T-ara and got into them a few years after their scandal. Their CEO/manager was trash and it wouldn't have blown up as badly had he fessed up. The girls messed up by taking their comments to social media and being messy, but the CEO/manager will always be on my hate list.

It's been more like only a dozen years for me, but I still feel pretty well left behind by the industry. My (multi) fandom is rooted in late 2nd/early 3rd Gen groups, starting with SM and branching out from there. I feel about SM the way you do for T-ara's company. f(x), SNSD. Wonder Girls, EXID, Kara, T-ara, Brown Eyed Girls, SHINEE, Gfriend/Viviz, WJSN, the tragic Ladies Code, up through Red Velvet and Mamamoo. I like Blackpink, but not enough to call myself a Blink. Is ITZY 3rd or 4th Gen? They're right on the cusp, I think, and are the most recent group I stan. I refuse to stan aespa or any SM group ever again, now matter how awesome they may be, because of how shabbily BOTH Jung sisters (Jessica and Krystal) were treated by SM. These days, several soloists have caught my attention, though, like AleXa and Chungha. Most 4th gen groups are "nugu" to me, and it almost feels too soon to me for there to be a 5th Gen!
