Please answer my question. I have a doubt that the phrase 'First and second' is followed by a singular noun or a plural noun. For example- First and second year of my college or First and second years of my college.

Take on: hire a new employee. Head up: be in charge of sth (be the of it) -Set up. Draw up: prepare an official document, congrats, proposals. Hive off: a large company is separated into a smaller independent organisation. Look after/Take care of sth: responsible for. Bring in: involve new people in a project. Sort out: solve a problem/ find a way of dealing with a complicated situation. -Take over. Move out/Move in: involves physical movement. Settle in: Get used to a new environment.

I took note the phrasal verbs while watching the video but I could only catch 22 of these. Could someone help me to list all 24 words?

Hi Tuan. We mentioned 12 phrasal verbs in Part 1 and 12 phrasal verbs in Part 2, however, we used two of the same phrasal verbs from Part 1 differently in Part 2. So you are correct that there are 22, but there are two of the same used in different context. Hope this helps you!

Hi Nazim. No, they are not only for speaking.
Set up: start/create sth. Take over: gain control over sth (buying a business from someone else). Deal in: buy and sell sth. Sell up: complete a large important transaction (without an object). Move on: leave to start sth new. Turn into: change sth. Cut down on: use less of sth. Fill up: put things in a container until is filled. Firm up: make more definitive. Stock up: buy a large amount of sth in order to prepare to sth. Kit out: provide necessary equipment (cars, vehicles, buildings, rooms... With or without an object) Look forward: be excited about sth that is going to happen.

Nice example, Roya! Here are some tips: 1) 'The doctor figured out that...' not, 'the doctor figured it out that...' 2) '...so she is advised to...' not, '...suggested...' 3) '...to cut down on eating fast food,' not, '...to cut down eating fast food.' Hope this is useful for you!
