Modern tools in a primitive environment, this is what is called a meeting of civilizations ☺. It is nice to entertain yourself with a little modern technology in your primitive tendencies... You need two devices of this type and four solar energy panels to work alternately, one device works together while the other stores electrical energy for the time of need... I wish you success in everything you do, publish and share with us. May God bless you, Mr. Chad, and do not forget: find a solution for the insects that meet at the source of the light

Man, excellent choice of movie, excellent choice of video game. You missed out on all those delicious bugs just offering themselves up for your breakfast. Also, if you had two of those power boxes with two solar panels each (also magic powers to guarantee sunshine every day) you could probably sustain power indefinitely by having one charging and one in use and alternating them every day. Edit: I posted this half-way through. I didn't know you brought your own grasshoppers for breakfast.

The sponsor chose me! At first I didn’t want to do it. But I’m glad I finally accepted. Thanks for watching this video.
That's the type of demonstration that needs to be done. Too bad others haven't, yet. Thx. I learned quite a bit from your vid. I can see a fire is way more efficient at cooking but takes longer to cook things and needs time to gather enough wood to fuel it for the duration. You also need a fireplace to have a fire inside your house to cook food or just boil water indoors. The induction cook top is way more faster and versatile. It can be used indoors an outdoors but this size of stored power is far from enough for just cooking meals. With a bit more money you can buy a bigger unit. The famous one pot meals are famous for cooking a lot of different foods at the same time. Inside or outside, sunny or cloudy can determine which is the best route to go. It's nice to have a choice. I've never been able to imagine these differences so well before. I'm now able to do a realistic comparison. Thx. Well done. Great vid.

Really cool how we are getting further and further away from relying on staying in a fixed house for power, hopefully with solar power technology getting better all the time this sort of thing could be viable for people who live travelling without the use of traditional generators. While you obviously used it to the extreme to show it off, it just shows that for moderate use it's already possible to live off! Strange to see you with so much technology though!
@ChadZuberAdventures
Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's strange for me. I still prefer primitive experiences but anyone who is on social media or does anything online obviously needs power. With moderate use I could do well with just one Bluetti.
Hi Mr. Zuber! Outstanding take on usage of the AC180. I have 2 of them that I used to replace my old APC SU2000 UPSes. A trick you could use to determine how to "ration" your power is to look at your OUTBOUND usage on the AC or CD circuit and balance that against your input. I have a single Bluetti PV200, so I know I'll never have more than ~155-190 watts coming INBOUND throughout the day. If I look at my outbound and it's so much greater than what the panel is bringing in that I won't have enough by night time to last until morning, I know that I need to add a 2nd panel by just wiring the 2 panels in SERIES, (Plug positive of 1st panel to negative of 2nd panel, then the negative of panel 1 and positive of panel 2 to AC180's MC4 to plug adapter.) to combine voltage (As an MC4 splitter would combine Amperage, wasting potential because of the 10amp max). 300-390 watts input will do most tasks with enough left over to charge a bit. 3rd, & 4th panels are options, but you're getting pretty pricey, and it would be better to just plunk-down for the PV350. Same series approach for those (Looks like Harbor Freight Thunderbolt you have there?) though I'd rewire them with MC4 connectors for simplicity/flexibility (Can be done for less than $20 spent on generic MC4 kit from Amazon)
This will come in very handy when you're recording videos. Keeping those camera batteries charged up will be huge.

7:14 with software emulation, you could have emulated the Nintendo and saved on electricity. Just a thought. I'm sure it's not much, but every bit helps. This is a cool episode, but I'd REALLY like to see this same pack and a solar panel at the hut, if for nothing more than running a single electric light at night, and, for a very specific reason. How much more productive do you think you would be if you had artificial light so that you could work late into the night, everything else being unchanged?
@ChadZuberAdventures

The Nintendo uses very little electricity.... I don't think I will bring this to the hut. The hut is really a special place that I want to keep primitive all the time. I regularly use the fire to work at night. I need to make more candles and maybe a second fireplace that emits more light.
@mattparker9726

@@ChadZuberAdventures ok, well I understand the desire for all ‘primitive’ but what IS primitive? For example is primitive to you only historically represented ideas and concepts, or is it acceptable to take a historical idea and build on it? Lights at night…. And fire…. My mind goes to woodgas, synthgas, brown gas, there are many names for the same thing, but in principle you are “burning” wood in an oxygen reduced environment, and piping off the resulting gasses to a remote source. Now I doubt you can craft a radioactive doped wick, like a Coleman lantern uses, but perhaps there is another method to increase lumen output using this method. So you could probably make all of the relevant components primitively, what’s of an arguably less primitive form is how you arrange the components. That’s why I was asking that question earlier. Also have you seen the channel How To Make Everything? He also does some cool primitive work.

@@mattparker9726 For my purposes and interests "primitive" is using natural materials I find in the wild. Nothing manufactured in a factory nor with modern tools.

@@ChadZuberAdventures so as long as you, personally can craft it out of materials around you, it’s still primitive? Ok. What metal ores are around your area? I’d like to see if you could forge a copper knife, perhaps.

@@mattparker9726 the NES only draws 9 Watts, typical of computers of the time. This is why it doesn't even need fans.
I have to say, I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR VIDEOS! I have been wanting to feed my primal instincts and your videos give me so much information. I find it funny how much we already knew of our primal instincts when we were kids. Look at pottery making for instance! Granted it may not have been the best quality but we just knew that some kind of dirt and water with some fibrous material makes plates, bowls, cups and so on. I would give anything just to be able to hang out with people like you and learn so much more! Anyways...keep up the good work. I am loving every minute of it. I have learned so much.

I really appreciate it Sarah! Yes, looking back to when I was a kid I was always outside exploring, climbing trees, digging in the dirt, making forts, capturing lizards, etc. All instincts that most adults reject. Never grow up from that.

@@ChadZuberAdventures It truly is painful to see how disconnected we become once we become adults. Of course a lot of that because everyone to some extent has become so corrupted by what society demands to be "normal". Ah, the joys of being a child back in those days. No care in the world. I am so happy to have seen you replied! My husband has been pushing to start preparing to do stuff like this and to get back out there and become a "child" again. My goal in the next year or so is to backpack all the way out west. I have never been there and it is on my bucket. I love my home state of Ohio.... However, I have been called to go out there my whole life. Something about the west truly tugs at my heart strings. Again, thank you so much for your awesome work. I feel you don't get enough credit. I wish more people were as in touch with this beautiful planet as you are. You truly are blessed. 🤗
Honestly love the video a little different from the usual but very fun 💪😼👍

Yes, indeed, a true caveman always loves his PC.
Remember, slowly charging and slowly discharging batteries will directly prolong their life and extend the amount of cycles it can do. It's best to only charge to 80% and only discharge to 20%, this is guaranteed to make your battery last longer.
