Crimson Crush are a great Tomato, but expensive in most places. Premier Seeds Direct have them at 10 seeds for £1.19 or 100 seeds for £9.99...Steve...😃

Hey Nigel, just love me a snow drop been out riding my horse yesterday and seen so many beautiful wild snow drops 😊. I just love spring so much. Another great video Paul and I said your straight to the point, organised and you sure know what your doing. I sowed sweet peas yesterday after soaking overnight. I've had two years of complete failures and wasn't going to bother this year but my daughter bought me a surprise :-) I'm so pleased to see I've done the same as you so far. That gives me hope LOL. Now I can't wait for them to pop up!

Another excellent video. Sown my Tomatoes and cucumbers today. Love your Chillies, I've only sown mine a week ago but they have germinated. Some of the best are seeds from sainsburys Chillies. I think they are Longhorn but Sainsburys don't tell tell you what they are. Fired up the heated propagator today. Cheers John

Hi Mike, I can recommend the Crimson Crush tomatoes to fend off blight. Not bomb proof but they do survive when others get completely wiped out 👍 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

Hi Steve, I have potted the brassicas on and moved them into the allotment greenhouse. I do have a tall plastic portable greenhouse inside here and on forecast cold nights I place a small candle at the bottom, which keeps them ticking over safe from any frosts. the outer casing of beetroot seed acts as a bit of a growth inhibiter, nigel, hence the erratic germination rate. that's what i once read, anyway. i'm going to have to try it out to see whether or not it's true......................brian

Hello Mark, Levington F2S is still a brilliant compost for seed sowing, the problem is the prices keep rising each year . The past two years I have been trialing my worm compost and it has returned some brilliant results, plus it is free!! 😀😀 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

Hello Floriana, not sure where you are located? I start my cucumber seeds around 20C and once the seedlings appear I lower the temperature to around 15C. This slows down the growth but you must make sure you have plenty of light 😀 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

Hello Laura, for hanging baskets, there is only one for me....Tumbler. Patio or Container....Crimson Crush, they are blight resistant and I actual prefer the taste of these when they are grown outdoors rather than in a greenhouse 😀 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

Thank you Nigel... I’m a fairly new vegetable gardener (apart from when I was a lot younger) and have devoted a section of my garden to vegetables. I don’t have a greenhouse but hope to in the future. I have a decking area that gets a fair amount of sun and I love tomatoes so I thought why not combine the two. I am basically learning how to grow fruit and vegetables from yourself, Terry King and a couple of others and numerous books so I really appreciate your channel and all the help, advice and tips.

Hello Ged 😀. F1 hybrid is a cross between two specific parent plants. The seed produces crops very similar in size and quality. The breeding is strictly controlled that is why F1 seeds tend to be more expensive and fewer in the packet. Saving seed from F1 plants, you cannot guarantee that the crops will have the same characteristics as the parent plant. The other common type of seed is known as open pollinated. The pollination of these plants is often down to nature e.g. insects birds or humans 😀 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
