    Most people in capitalist countries are driven by pop culture: celebrities violent movies, popular music, sports and certain events and weird traditions like halloween! You have to find people that at least love nature, mindful, and not pop culture obsessed understand you and accept the fact you are not like them so they respect that! Also I can't talk to people that smoke or are drunk or say stupid shit! I have a guy that was my friend but the dude just pushed me to do stuff I didn't felt comfortable to do like drinking alcohol for example! Some people just like to force you to be like them if not they see you weird and don't respect you! You need to go to a peaceful place like church, a park, maybe a comic convention, a gym, the beach, a museum or a library! Or your cousin's home! Maybe your family could introduce you to some people! 🤔

I don't know if I have depression but very often I feel like I do, and I think the most important thing is to treat yourself gently and take care. The first step is to cease to compare with others. Everyone has a different story and different reasons for which they're here and not in any other place. I just wanted to say thanks for your comment because somehow it resonated with me very much. Hi Myra, I'm one of the people who saw your "exploded" video pretty early on. You mentioned here that you think that your videos are not quality, or not of enough quality to warrant such subscriber growth. But I think you're mistaken in that. Quality of a video can be measured in numerous things, being the subjects discussed, the filming, the editing and what not. I think your videos are top quality because of authenticity, openess and not being scripted. They just show you, how you feel, what you think, your struggles and the things you enjoy. And this authenticity and "not scripted" feeling is what imo is lacking from so many KZreadrs these days. Your style (and your style of videos) make me remember the old days of KZread, where things were less polished but creators felt more connected to the viewers and vice versa. Thats one of the strong points of you and your channel.

    No it’s not. What you described is codependency. Someone clinging onto someone they perceive to be more confident. If an introvert is lacking in confidence then they need to work on themselves and give themselves time. Introverts are better suited to introverts in friendship. People with lower confidence “cling” to louder people to benefit from their social circle, and usually can’t keep long term friends from it

  • @mantiskungfu728

    @mantiskungfu728

    @@chioma5633 I'm not talking about codependency.... this is literally how she made friends. She found someone that was more outgoing than herself, and made bonds with other people due to her friends help. It's how every introvert does it. Introverts don't talk to people so how can an introvert be friends with an introvert, you'd end up just sitting in a room in silence.

    One semi good friend and a few more close personal acquaintances can truly open up the world for us introverted folks. Nothing spectacular, just a few that accept us for our awkward, weird selves. I have found a bar that I prefer for that reason, i.e. we all know we're all weird and we're all ok with that. Do I have a 'best' friend in the group? Not really, but I have a place that I can go and still just be me. Totally worth the effort to get comfortable going there.

    Thank you for always sharing your journey with us! I remember the original video showing up in my KZread feed in late May 2020. It was very powerful to watch. Thank you for sharing the backstory behind the original video and the decision to move to California which you feel is a turning point. I was inspired to make my own turning point in late November 2020 when I changed jobs. I feel so much happier now. I think you inspired me to make that change in my life. Have a lovely day

    This is the most inspiring vid I have seen in a long time. I am also pretty introverted and most of my friends come from my extroverted friend as well. But in time, as I got to know the group, they became my friends as well. It's been over 10 years and most of us are still friends to this day. Keep it up, you can do it.

    I'm so grateful you posted this video, and I suppose I really did ask for it in the back of my mind because it helped clarify a couple of things. I now realize just how slow and blind I was about the depth of your depression you were battling the months following your breakup. I knew your "21" video was a cry for help, but I was lacking the empathy and understanding that I should have had. My own depression was at an all time low around the same time as your low, so I fed off of your pain in a codependent manner... a toxic trap of my own making. A take away for me is that while we can say "we're not alone", we must also avoid the pitfalls of codependency and not use someone's pain as an excuse for our own. Thank you Myra for showing me a better way! You've shown me how to live through the heart rather than the wants! I'm boundlessly grateful that you've given me a second chance! You grew a heart into my chest, and I love you with all of it! 💝💗🌹🌷🌺🌻🌼 (P.S.; you could've named this video "2 years and still gorgeous"... you're still very lovely in that dress! 😘)

    Myra, you impress me. You have gained such a self-knowledge at such a young age, things I needed much longer to understand about myself and my interactions with the world (I am mainly referring to your notes, which made me curious so I stopped the video to read them : ) (and I found a lot of similarities in them)). Your honesty is amazing and the best path to follow - which doesn't mean it is easy. Like that people can relate to your true self and open up themselves. I am trying to find this ability again... The comment of your aunt made me laugh - oh yes, that must have been embarrassing! How good that you didn't delete the video. By showing your honest thoughts you are really giving to the world.

Aside from drinking and partying i learned that me and my friends really didn't have much in common even tho we got a long and they were lovely ppl. I'm surrounded by business acquaintances and other artists who i talk to in passing but not like ppl i talk to in a deep way everyday like i use to I'm incredibly lonely and i cope by just making more art but i need my people. It's a weird lonely experience. I'd love to find a local group of artists to be friends with. People who support each other through both good and bad times, not just people who only want me around when I'm successful, or when they need support.

    7:25 When you said “But, I made a decision.” I felt this. Especially within this period of my life I have been struggling about changing and taking a leap. The people who did not suffer from depression, vagueness and maybe even sluggishness never gonna understand what im tryna say but I wanna say tho it’s so hard to start with a clean state. Big changes take time and after you have made up your mind, process is utterly hard but refreshing at the same time. And yes, we are making decision so it is all about choosing. You know how that vicious cycle is. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is the best. Life is too short for being desperate not knowing what each day will bring us.

    It's amazing that you're using the opportunity to share what you've learnt to the people that related to your video from 2 years ago. I remembered coming across it in 2020 and noticed the date Aug 2019, the time when I had a pretty devastating low point in my life. It got worse for me too for the next 6-8 months, then it did get better afterwards. Just like it's not like you jumped over the fence I'm also not perfect now either, but I'm certainly better at inter-personal skills than 2 years ago. The "aha" moment came to me when I walked down a path, within a short time frame I walked past a person who smiled at me (I instinctively smiled back) and a glum looking person. The idea of needing to be a hyper-sociable, party-going and constantly talking person to be friendly shattered, I realised the bar wasn't as high as I thought.
