I think the interior is a little generic, but certainly more modern and a MASSIVE step over the last Vantage. I remember renting one from Enterprise back in 2018 and it was huge disappointment. This one looks like it could be a Porsche interior if you cover up the badges. I think a more Bentley-esque design would be more appropriate

love the new format, please keep this going. i know it's probably 10x more work and effort but i think we're all tired of the "one take" styles this channel is known for. Zach is hilarious and comfortable in front of a camera so it's a win win. Also, thanks for having Jack on...SG is one of my favorite car channels!!! also, jesus christ that tire setup is WILD, 275 front and THREE tweny five rear!!! I at least run a 305 front and a 325 rear on my GT350

This car is painfully beautiful, I think Aston has lagged behind for some time in terms of on-track performance but it makes up for it with exterior beauty, and now interior too. I won’t lie, whenever I thought of the V8 Vantage I thought “It’s great, but…” followed by drivability woes. This one doesn’t have any “but…”

Vantage will never be a 911 killer, but that is fine with me. Sweet looking car overall.

Sweet Nice point versus new AMG GT They should offer a manual transmission though, to further differentiate it from Porsche and DB12. Would be sick

So much of the components of the previous and current gen Vantage sound like parts, components and features incorporated into the previous and current gen AMG GT, but tuned up. From it's variable traction control, to the switch gear, to the rear transaxle (carry over from previous GT and Vantage), to the V8 and carbon fibre driveshaft ... and so forth. It's like AMG either sold their IP or the actual components to Aston. If so, it might explain why the Vantage has been more expensive since AMG would have sold all this stuff for a profit. To be honest, if all the components have been in-house designed and built, then there is no reason why Aston couldn't have undercut all the competition and stolen the show. Astons depreciate more heavily than AMGs which is a telling sign that some of their cars are overpriced. As it stands, as great as this looks, I can't see myself paying a premium for the badge and instead just get an AMG GT with the same technical stuff and AWD as an added bonus. But I'm probably in the minority.

What a difference a color makes, that blue is stunning! Orange is more than a bit out-of-place for an Aston.

Fun review. As much as I like Aston (never driven one) I prefer a (of course used) 1st gen AMG GT. Though I'm glad Aston used the interior from that old AMG stuff just as a car fan. Don't think I'll ever be in the market for a $200K car.

Not sure I love the interior but damm is the exterior gorgeous 👌

"Additionally, like drake [...]" lmao 1:40 A quibble: 18:25 - the new SL platform was made from scratch by AMG; it's not a carry-over from the previous SL platform and it's much more closely related to the previous AMG GT as a result. Your other points re: Vantage > AMG GT stand, but using the SL platform as a demerit doesn't really hold well unless you also acknowledge that the brand new SL platform by AMG is bad. Which it could be. But absent that context, people will compare to the SL boats of the past.

What is the difference (in terms of experience) between new Vantage and DB12?

The new Vantage looks so good, but I really don't like the digital gauges. It doesn't look any better than my VW's digital gauges. I guess I'll continue to never be able to afford the Vantage in protest.

I will say they did their best to make the engine sound as good as they could. Modern TT engines just tend to sound bad to me. Very nice lines.
