Yep. My wages have been the same for 5-years and with inflation the same wages have way less buying power. I plan to keep buying used, especially since we're saving for a house, which is also almost impossible with current inflation and interest.

Stephen, It is always a pleasant surprise to have David on your channel.😉 In this debate between Tacomas I would choose the Land Cruiser or 4Runner and pair it with a utility trailer. Today's 4Runner has a better back seat than the new Tacoma and the upcoming Land Cruiser has a huge 2nd row. 🥳🥳What is the point of a 4 door truck with such a cramped rear seat? 🤔

I got to say one thing I miss seeing is an engine bay that is "clean" and well designed - I get plastic engine covers are not perfect, but they at least suggest that someone cared about what things look like. I know the ship has sailed, but still, it would be nice to see some care and budget put into the organization of the engine bay.

Two points about your discussion on the trucks. On the Trd pro, you have manually adjustable suspension. You have a setting for off-road and a setting for on road.. also David mentioned that the bedliner was too smooth, but this is the prototype model, and the production model will have a bedliner with grip

Even my supercharged & tuned 4.0 V6 Tacoma feels like it has more lag. Aside from sentiments about hybrid engines, I don't think people are gonna miss those slow V6's. Ford, Chrysler and GM have been pushing out reliable applications for a while now so trust in Toyota to shine above them. However,I sat in one last time shopping for a new truck in 2018 but the seating position with your legs out front rather than below turned me off. Too much like a car feeling. Having to duck your head to enter the new models cab is a deal breaker for me on this one. At 6’, I’ll just keep my 2018 f150 limited for now. I would have to drive both first. I like the looks of the TRD PRO.

I agree on just about everything except for the Fox shocks. They are notorious for premature failures, in our local 4x4 group we say " you are paying for a name brand sticker and shock made in china." My 19 trd pro 4runner had them fail three times in the front and once in the back all before 30k miles. I do love they put OME shocks on the trail hunter. I was really hoping they would put those into the pro. Most people toss the Fox shocks anyway and get Kings or something similar. Still I wish toyota would make all shocks/struts on every trim themselves. Toyota just has better quality.

I think that Toyota makes durable engines, whether they are N/A or turbo, Great review. Greetings

The pricing of the new Tacoma is very expensive 🫰 to purchase. Great video 📸👍 in your analysis and reporting.
