The Truck King KZread channel began as the Canadian Truck King Challenge, an annual competition started in 2006 that sought to crown the yearly "Truck King." We have now evolved, bringing you weekly video reviews of all the latest pickup trucks, SUVs, recreational vehicles and powersports machines on the market.
We cover a broad range of things here on the channel, with a common thread: in-depth looks and comparisons to help you make a purchasing decision.

Boring.
So you're not just "eye candy" after all. LOL Great job man, keep up the amazing reviews.
Should wait for the 2025 Tucson, it addresses many of the negatives you listed for the 2024
Nice truck. Saw another one today on the road. The shape reminds me of my Avalanche. Of course, 95% of usage will be for the soccer moms taking the kids to practice.
Coyote, Predator or nothing!
That glovebox is not in anyway waterproof I rolled it and everything got soaked
Did a good job
This is a great video. I think it was an honest look at towing with the Lighting.
Own the Raptor, have driven the driven the Tremor. The only reason I can think of to get a Tremor is cost AND not wanting to build an offroad capable truck yourself. This being youtube comments, I'm sure someone will chime in with a corner case making the Tremor preferred. :D
Would I rather have a Raptor or Tremor? How about an XL with the rear locker for $13k less? A good lift kit and tires and you still come out ahead by several thousand dollars.
Yeah these trucks are money printers for Ford. An XL with the Coyote, rear locker and some mods and you're cheaper off and way more capable.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566agreed. I grabbed a Wrangler JLU Sport S a couple years ago for under $40k. Even after two lifts (first a cheap puck spacer lift, then a true suspension lift), a regear, 35s, some Willys takeoffs wheels, wheel spacers, Rubicon takeoff rock rails, fox steering stabilizer, shocks, and several other mods I can't think of, I'm in it for less than $10k in mods (spread out over the last 3 years) and well under $50k spent total. The new Rubis are going for like $60k, and I didn't have to finance an incredible amount to do it.
@@backwoodstherapy wow this really is like financing but the cool way because you don't pay interest and you get to modify your vehicle and see how it evolves
Dude is given a free Raptor and told he needs to go faster. Not once but 4 or more times. Kinda Sad🤷🏻♂️
Liam you luck devil getting to drive the Raptor R. Good job.
You did a great job! I hope you get to be in front of the camera more often. Truck King is my favourite auto channel.(sorry TFL).
Its not a hybrid. The electric motor kick on only under 2 miles/ hour when you start………
Neither, get a Chevy Zr2
As much as I like the Raptors, I'd go with the Tremor. The Tremor needs 35s tho. Great video, Liam! Hope to see more of you in future vids.
Great job Liam !! Your not only a fantastic videographer but also a great reviewer!!!!!
Thanks 👍
Ecoboost way to go 👍
Cool 😎
And you opened the Chevy gate without the B&W hitch specifically made for GM multi flex Duh
Just wish it was smaller.... Too annoying to get in/out of garage fast.
Get a ranger or a maverick
@@Mr504BLACKMAN They don't currently make a Ranger Tremor, instead a RR toy truck with an interior for 5 year olds and an exhaust note that appeals to Import Tuner's from 1997. The Maverick Tremor can't tow a track car. Or I would.
@@oni-one574 oh my bad I thought size was the problem
New front end is hideous
I feel like he was crawling the ridgeline but then romping the maverick giving the maverick a better chance of course.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great job on the video. Good job on working through your nervousness to give it gas
Thank you so much. The best comparison and reviews ever. We recently bought Honda 2024 hybrid L model. We preferred it over Rav4 for the same exact plus features as we are starting a family and preferred a car with more room, looks, and a better feel while driving.
These carefully crafted and manipulated “manufacturer events” and just useless. They provide zero challenge. Pity they did not also include a base truck with no options. Guaranteed it would have performed exactly the same.
Liam is a natural host. Nice video.
Hey Liam. Good morning
“Order Simplification”. Translation: “To get the one or two options that you actually want you need to buy a multi-thousand dollar ‘simplified’ package that contains 90% stuff you don’t want but we make you pay for anyway”. These car companies truly honestly believe that people do not see through this bullshit.
That’s the best way to lower costs
The vast majority of vehicles are ordered by dealers anyways, with certain packages and options that they feel would yield them the most traffic or profitability. All this is doing is moving that decision to the OEM from the dealer (though for that very small number who order their vehicles, it will have a certain effect depending on how those options are packaged in).
@@0223Jeremy Best way to maximize profits.
@@0223Jeremy Yes, that's why 2024 trucks are so inexpensive!
Toyota is the worst with this. You want bed lights in your Tacoma? That's 50 grand.
Loving the refresh design and simplification of offerings. I think it is a fanatic change all the way around.
Liam, One makes you Tremble with excitement while the other sends you into Raptures . 🤔😉
“The new theme for ford this year…” is the trucks being stupidly expensive 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Good to see more of Liam! Great video!
Of course you would like Liam....right Liam!? lol As usual, thanks for watching!
I was hoping for a more in depth comparison of the truck actually working and towing heavy loads up hills and down. Numbers mean nothing on paper. That test they did in Colorado years ago whit the trucks towing identical loads up hill and down hill. To see something more off road like a guy would on jobsite. Highlighting the engine and transmission design would be nice. I know the duramax has grown off the same platform since the 2011 LML. But I know nothing of the 10 speed trans. I don’t know what generation engine the ford is on now, and I could be wrong but I didn’t hear you speak about the ford transmission. Take my comments with a grain of salt. You covered ALOT of great details on both trucks that were very helpful
I love ford, but there's too much AI in vehicles now a days, which is just an expensive problem for us, the consumer. When things fail out of warranty, it costs more than the vehicle is worth keeping it for. AI promotes laziness on the road and who is at fault when an accident does happen? You? Them? Ford? Also, the cost of these trucks is ridiculous, I'm not buying a house, why does it cost over 100k for a pickup lol ridiculous.
Hi! I’m thinking of getting a preowned mid or full-sized pickup truck as daily work truck. I have a commute of 40 mile one-way (1.5 hrs) then another 1hr drive home in horrid SoCal traffic. I haul mostly network cabling installation equipment in the bed, and do not tow. What brand, model year, engine and grade do you recommend? I would like to have some of the newer active safety features such as the automatic emergency braking system to avoid front collisions, but not as critical as long-term reliability and durability. Any suggestions for a late model pickup truck with Direct and Port Injection. Also, what immediate and affordable engine and transmission mods for reliability and durability do you recommend to protect the powertrain? I’m not looking for more power, just long-term reliability and durability as I don’t have too much money and need a truck for work and personal use. Thank you!
What off road?? No different than any other AWD SUV.
You want to play? You gotta pay!!
255 a tank is sad my 19 with v6 I can run it hard and get 300 + out of a tank
Crazy how the Tacoma TRD Pro costs only a few thousand dollars less than a Tundra TRD Pro
We were up fishing in BC a few years ago. I launched my boat at the ramp and headed back to the lodge to stow the trailer. I found a nice grassy area, but I didn’t realize it had a slight slope that ended in a 12-foot drop-off into the neighbor's backyard. I got distracted unhooking the trailer and did not see it moving slowly away from the truck. Well, it didn’t go over the edge, but I came close to breaking a leg trying to stop the accelerating roll. 😮 Lesson learned: There is no need to rush through everything when tired or distracted. I convinced myself that everything needed to be done ASAP to get ready for the next day’s fishing. 🙄 Liked & Subscribed!
Testing on 401 lol
Good job bud You definitely should be more in front of camera
Regarding the seats, do you think the GM seats will hold up better over the long term due to the firmness?
I drove a Ridgeline while shopping for my new truck (old was 2021 Ranger XLT with sport appearance). The in-bed trunk is epic. And I really liked the idea of more SUV-like handling and I don’t honestly need a BoF truck. But I really didn’t feel much of an improved ride in the Honda 🤷🏻♂️ maybe it’s just me? Maybe is was the tires on the Honda at the dealer being way over-inflated (so many cars I’ve seen at dealers are up to 10psi higher than the sticker recommends) But the thing that stopped me buying the Honda is the pedal-actuated parking brake. I have a bung left knee and using the pedal was super painful. I also didn’t like the raked angle of the infotainment screen. Just catches sun glare too much. I ended up with the new Ranger basically the same as this video (XLT FX4 2.3L, though mine doesn’t have e-locking diff or adaptive cruise 😫). I think Ford did a great job except for a few things: XLTs overseas get keyless entry and start, and they also get adaptive cruise as standard…why don’t we get those features on the XLT in the USA?? And the should’ve made the rear seats 60/40 split! This would’ve been great.
He was nice enough to not get a black label
At minimum Nissan needs to come from the factory with more ground clearance. I would consider buying one simply for the naturally aspirated v6 but with such low ground clearance it's just not worth it
