I just purchased one of these in silver (waiting for it to arrive) but if anyone it looking for a new vehicle I strongly encourage you to consider a Toyota. This will be my second Toyota, and the first one has been so amazingly reliable I just could not bring myself to buy anything other than a new Toyota. I also have a 2014 Prius which we are keeping - I just need something a little faster to battle the daily highway grind. People with their speedy vehicles are not patient with those of us that still have under 150 HP. My Prius is related at 45 MPG and often gets 55 MPG average on my daily commute.

Great reliability, power and compliant. Took this beautiful car 660 miles from Oregon to CA and it was so comfortable. Only spent $94 dollars on fuel and keeping it above half tank every time before refueling. Seats are so comfortable and sports mode took the curvy roads very well. Straight away I used Econo-mode and the CVT didn’t bother me at all.

I have the same exact color except mine is a 2023 with the addition of the technology package, panoramic sunroof, JBL, bodyside moldings and mirror with the camera. I purposely didn't get the crossbars as they contribute to increased wind noise. Currently getting over 40 MPG. Purchased it in September of last year at MSRP. No markup.

The mpg on Freeway is 38 mpg, in the city 26-28 mpg depend on the traffics. I still enjoy the car and the performance is above my expectation.

Adding LED to backup lamps and turn signals Also. Want to see Toyota bring electric Folding outside mirrors to the RAV lineup Are all the interior lights now LED? I wish Toyota would install a cargo area light on the left as well as the right. Needed for sure back there What is the ground clearance and the turning radius? My advice to everyone is that if you can't afford a new one, shop for a lower mileage used RAV4 hybrid. They are out there. May take some work. Even if it is a previous generation like mine you can't go wrong as these vehicles can last hundreds of thousands of miles with proper maintenance.

I love my grandma’s 2020 RAV4 Limited Hybrid AWD, it’s a fantastic vehicle that I’d highly recommend. Hybrid is def the way to go with a new RAV4, it comes standard with AWD too, I wouldn’t want it any other way. The normal RAV4 won’t have the pickup of the hybrid and the Prime (plug-in hybrid) is honestly too expensive for a RAV4 IMO. Price difference between a normal RAV4 with AWD and a hybrid RAV4 is only about a grand and the hybrid is a far better powertrain IMO. My only issues with it are the lack of a power passenger seat and a very slow touchscreen but I can forgive this as it’s fantastic to drive, gets 40MPG, and has reliability by it’s side. I would like it if Toyota redesigned the RAV4 in the near future though as it does feel outdated for 2024. I would probs choose a CR-V Hybrid if I was in the market for something in this segment today but the lack of a 360 camera and ventilated seats is disappointing. The newer Mazda products are also making a solid case for themselves!

RAV4 Prime is made in Japan. The rest of the RAVs are made in North America. The build quality of Japan is superior. The SE Prime model is 10k more than the standard Hybrid. I'm 70 and I want to travel a lot so I bought the Prime. I have been getting 56mpg with the combination EV/Hybrid. This car will take me to the end of my driving career. Basically the only reason I'll be using the ICE engine is to keep the gas from getting stale. I can jump in my car and use the EV mode everyday, with a charge up costing me 1 buck here in Oregon each time.

If you really want to get the maximum potential out of the RAV4 2024, you need to switch to sport mode, turn off the ESP and use the manual transmission. For a very long time, I was troubled by the fact that this model drives and starts very clumsily for its performance. But after experimenting for a while, I'm quite enjoying the drive, I know that in a year/two I'll trade the car for another one... But the RAV4 definitely set some standards and brought me a lot of smiles from the surprise of what an SUV can handle.

The Sportage is way nicer, upscale and quieter car. The hybrid system doesn't beat Toyota in fuel efficiency, but it doesn't have a noisy eCVT which is a positive. The Tucson is also getting facelifted this year, so it's a better choice than both.

As one of the comments above said, there are many pros and cons. The biggest one is that the RAV4 will be at the Sportage on real world fuel economy but it uses a 6-speed automatic which helps it to be much quieter when accelerating hard

I have been testing and researching both extensively. If you can afford $52k-ish, the Kia plug-in in X-LINE Prestige trim is beautiful and tech loaded. Much prettier, comfortable, and luxurious on the inside. I'm just struggling with the longevity of the Kia. I hear its much better now but Toyota is k own for longevity. Kia also has a way better warrantee. Tough choice.

There is only one way to find out the true gas mileage. Write down the miles when you fill up and drive the car 100 miles and then fill up again and divide the miles driven by the gallons used while driving. In eco mode I think that you will find that the RAV4 Hybrid gets between 28 and 30 miles per gallon. The real miles per gallon is totally different than what the read out says it’s getting.
