I would still prefer this current gen 4Runner. They still look good, made in Japan. That thing is a tank and can go 300,000 miles or more if maintained

Lol your probably right the funny thing is if I end up with a 2024 Toyota 4Runner lol I know it’s a awesome truck. I just think sometimes I won’t be happy with it but I know if I get one in underground I think I would be pretty happy especially if I get my sunroof and the 360 camera it doesn’t even have to be a pro. I would really be happy with the SR5 premium.

Agreed. I wouldn't buy the '24 Taco. Toyota should stick with simplicity, and choices of 4 cyl or V6.

Hi Kenny-remember because the current 4Runner is soooo reliable and tried and true all around I believe these 2024 and below 4Runners are going to sky rocket up in value when the new one comes out.

Been looking hard at a new vehicle since January. Migrated from focus on a Silverado now looking at the 4Runner for the reliability and the SUV >Truck bed. Too many issues with the new Toyota production and engine. 95% of what I see a read says this V6 power train is built to last. Likely would go with the TRD Off Road premium and mod the wheels and infotainment myself. Very much enjoy the channel though. Keep the videos coming

I've been hearing the opposite - that 2024 4Runner production is winding down and 2025 production will begin in August and the first ones will reach dealerships in late Sept or October. So dealership inventories of 2024's should be getting tighter and tighter.

I actually own a 2023 Toyota 4 runner with the X series package.I'm actually very happy with it.I put a three inch lift in the front to level it out, and it looks pretty good.

Recently purchased a 24 TRD off road, in Underground w/a sunroof & absolutely love it!

You can add an adapter for wireless CarPlay! Super easy, but it’s got all the tech you actually need/use and really nothing that’s not needed. It’s been my favorite daily out of all the vehicles I’ve owned. It’s a one and done vehicle, just buy it, enjoy, and make memories with it! I can almost bet the 5th gen’s will go up in value later on like the old LC m. This isn’t a vehicle you buy and trade in within a year or 2, it’s a “built for life” quality product from Japan.

It’s a good thing you don’t live far from the dealerships cause that 2025 is sure gonna be spending time there

You definitely don't buy the 4Runner for the tech, you're buying the dependability and reliability. Not to mention the capability. To be confident of taking a SUV truck offroad, is underrated. No, it isn't high-tech, nor is it a racecar, but it's damn near everything else and looking at the prices, it's well under what other trucks sell for. Be my guest and buy a 90k truck that'll break down before it hits 5k miles or buy two 4Runners that will last forever for the same price, lol. Now let's talk about the resale value of the 2024 4Runner, the last reliable and best vehicle ever made, it's already a classic. In the past I've seen very few instant classics, I knew from looking at some of those muscle cars of the late 60's through the 70's that some would jump in value over time but was too young to buy one. I see this 2024 4Runner being sold on stage, on TV, in an auction, in the future, for over 500k. Today's 40-year-olds will be the boomers 25-30 years from now, and the stories they'll pass down about the greatest vehicle ever made will be told for many decades. Not to mention their kids that'll have photos of them being young and alive together as a family on vacation, with that 5th generation 4Runner, that was in production for 16 years, in the background. Yes, I said 16 years, it went into production and was released for sale in 2009. How many tens of millions of pictures are out there with one in the background? It's also the most photographed vehicle ever made. Future $$$$ if you know anything about collectables and emotions.

Nobody buys a 4Runner for gas mileage. Or the tech When you’re 100 miles from anywhere that puppy is gonna start, though, and get you home without spending time in the shop.

Anyone trying to keep up with the Jones' shouldn't buy a 2024 4Runner because your friends won't be able to tell if you're rolling a 2014 or a 2024, but if you plan to own if for 10 years, then it's the one you should buy. The 2024 4Runner will outlast all other new vehicles built today. Also, since not everybody has the budget to got out and drop 55-60k, a lot of people are gonna look for a good used SUV around 3 to 5 years old with about 30-50k miles on it. For the people shopping that market, if you can't afford a new SUV, then you ain't gonna be able to afford the problems that come with a used Ford Explorer, Chevy Traverse, or Dodge Durango unless you buy the service contract. If you buy a 4Runner you don't need a service contract.

That cause the 24s are so great and selling so well! Get rid of that roof rack in that sr5

My 22 SR5 is leveled with stock size Nitto’s with TRD wheels, pedal commander, and I get about 15 mpg in the city. Usually 14 or so. Not great. I’m holding onto it for now. Made in Japan. Ready to check out the 6th Gen this year.

@@littlekennytv5668 mpg, back doesn't fold flat for the dog, and I live in Maine, these things are known rust buckets so add another grand for rustproofing, all the ones at the dealer have tons of useless expensive add ons, door edge guards, charging cords, ect, I think they are getting rid of in stock accessories before the model change

I think LiL Kenny put this video together to pluck my nerves, lol. You have too many videos on the crappy 2024 Tacoma's and not enough on the 2024 4Runners, lol. I know, it's hard to find them on the lots, unlike the Tundra's and Tacoma's that seem to be piling up. :)

If gas mileage is an issue then a 4runner is not meant for you. A Prius may be a better fit.

Vehicles like these will not be produced in the near future. The novelties of brand new features wear off quickly. How many vehicles do you know of now that can keep driving reliably for 300K miles+ ?

@@littlekennytv5668 … I agree with you that the Tacoma looks better than the tundra… I’ve only had my tundra for a couple days, but the look of it is really growing on me and there are some things about it that I think you would really like… on this platinum model, the touchscreen is like a gigantic iPad and the power running boards are so cool. My truck also has the digital heads up display, which looks awesome. The hybrid model also gives you a locking gas cap which is a nice touch.

They get over 500k miles on the average, without issues. Not having much high-tech is an option, in today's world, you can take it to places that can add high-tech for you. whatever you want, can be put in for you, however, if you buy the 2025, you aint taking that crap engine out and putting a naturally aspirated engine and transmission in. Same with buying a 2x4 truck and converting it to a 4x4, the cost is more than a new 4x4, lol. I know because I was looking at a 2021 2x4 Tundra and searched the net for info.

I prefer this gen of 4 runner but too much..

More than 1 million 5th Gen 4Runners have been sold in the US. They’ll hold their value like most Toyotas, but I don’t see them going up in value anytime soon. Unless you keep one with super low mileage in immaculate condition for 15+ years, then maybe. Anyone buying these for a daily driver won’t be sitting on a goldmine.
