Well after 7 long years I finally revisited this beautiful toilet, and thankfully (apart from a new seat) nowt has changed!
We have a gorgeous Gents toilet here largely original from 1922, although some years ago the urinals were replaced. Firstly you're greeted by two original basins by Musgrave's (Liverpool) in 'Invicta Ware', I've never been able to find out all that much about this firm.
Then onto the cubicle (the other cubicle is ambulant and only a Shires 'Supaline' pan paired with a Twyfords 'Classic' Cistern) there is a completely unbranded fireclay pan, which I'm assuming is also by Musgrave's as it's definitely original, the cistern, albeit a fairly early replacement is still lovely, a 1960's Shires 'New Duranite' with a replacement syphon but retains a part 1 ballcock with a great refill.
The flush is much the same as it was last time, nice and powerful but slightly on the short side, although as you can see by the paper flush is still adequate enough. It was quiet enough to do an entire room shoot, however not quiet enough to risk the Ladies unfortunately.
