This was found in the lobby/bar area of the hotel which has the pink Standard 'Cadet' syphonic in one of the rooms.
This absolutely floored me, wasn't expecting it at all! Especially seeing as another toilet filmer has been here previously but must've missed this. I was fully expecting a modern 'Savoy' replica thing.
We have an absolutely gorgeous 1930's Standard 'Ejecto-Modernus' reverse trap syphon jet syphonic in Ming Green, with a 1950's 'Standard' 3Gal low level cistern. The seat is a replica style, called 'The Perfecta' by Boyes & Co. It also has a matching Standard 'Surrey' basin, although the taps and waste are modern.
I believe these pans were made in Germany, prior to Standard opening their Hull factory in 1936. Ironically it's the first 'Modernus' I've seen in-the-porcelain, and it's an even rarer version! It has a great flush as you'd expect from one of these, even though in the cistern it has a Dudley Turbo 88 (and a part 1 ballcock, which isn't original to the cistern).
As is usual I've put together a paper flush and quick cistern view, couldn't take too long on the cistern view due to this being the only public toilet in the building.
