New Spooky Town releases are always the best way to start the year

As someone who does a Day of the Dead scene as part of my overall Halloween display, I love any new pieces. And it's cool that they're expanding the theme into commerce buildings so it's not all primarily religious stuff.

I'm glad they are expanding the theme too. It seems like all of the buildings that they (and D56) are doing for the theme are very well done

Way back when, 2016-17 I was a member of the Dedicated to Lemax group, one of the first groups and i was living next to the red river on Oak st....that year they came out with The red river Motel and the Oak st house. Those will aways be my two favorites.

Thanks for this live stream. I enjoyed this content. I can't wait for you and others to start showing the previews in summer. I'm looking forward to Phantom Castle and The Spin Out. I hope these 2 rides live up to expectation by Lemax. Ps - Def should do a livestream about Department 56 they have Beetlejuice and Haunted Mansion pieces coming out.

The medusa building would go great with the department 56 medusa figurine…shame lemax didnt make a medusa figurine to go with the building…

Love the annual Preview Show!! However, I cannot stand the building audio of just people talking! In my opinion, a few words are okay, but I prefer just the scary music ambience. Interesting how they've taken this idea and ran with it so much.

I agree 1,000% I wish they just had super cool Halloween music playing while we are watching the new houses all the talking just makes me look for a different video that gets straight to it

If Fright Night Cinema doesn't get released I'm gonna be so mad. The building looks awesome, going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do, and they have a accessory for it (do you buy the accessory in hopes they release it next year if not this year. Or they don't release it at all and you buy the accessory then you're stuck with it) Overall super pumped for this years line up

Sad I missed it live, but great stream. Pretty solid year overall. When it comes to the mystery pieces, we know of the one from the video leak that Landon mentioned which I assume is a Michael’s exclusive (a steam + candle effect building, the Ruins), the theatre and then the mansion in the big promo image. I hope those all end up being Michael’s Exclusives, but we shall see.

Thanks for watching! I think the ruins that were accidentally shown off are going to be the big Michaels piece and it looked killer. If that theater is indeed a Michaels piece, it looks like those may be more exciting to me than the main line which is the first time it will of been that way in many years. I am looking forward to getting a bunch of the accessories- there are a ton of good ones!

I've come to look forward to this every year now haha. It helps cure the post halloween woes! I agree, the big houses minus the cinema I'm not probably going to get (if we get the cinema) but the accessory houses and accessories I'm all over for sure.

I love the maze. The eyes in the corn stalks in the front are so cute.

Always love your preview videos! Some gorgeous pieces this year 😍 I definitely want Phantom Castle but I don't like the thing at the top that spins round, do you think that can be detached? I love the corn maze one with the eyes too. Can't wait til they are all released!

Hi Beth, usually the buildings like we talked about here are released to dealers sometime in mid June to late July depending on shipping from overseas. Michaels typically releases Spooky Town around the third week of July!

do we know if he roller coaster and maze will be at Michaels?

Accessories look awesome this year! Not so pumped about a lot of these building themes though, as I don't get spooky vibes. Where can I buy these accessories, since Michael's doesn't carry all of them? Thanks!

You can find the accessories at various online dealers. You can check out Ryan's shop, Haunter's Nation, as I have a link in description and he will have all of these this year I believe.

I wondered if you have any contacts of people who fix the mechanical part of the Miniatures/ buildings . My haunted hotel music and lights work but the moveable parts aren’t moving . Any ideas ? 🎃👻🎉 #HappyNewYear

I don't think they actually have a repair department or anything like that. Unfortunately when they break, the option is to either return it if its in that window, or crack it open and see if it can be fixed. Random Junk Channel is a great resource for this

I am fairly new Lemax Spooky Town collector so when will these 2024 items be available ?

Usually towards the end of summer! Michael’s can get them as early as June/July but I feel like by end of August/early September, they’re fully in stores ☺️ also I think online retailers like Gift Spice can start getting them earlier. Last year I purchased new Halloween pieces from Gift Spice in May

Doug - What is that white thing with the black ghost face on it behind you on the shelf?

I agree that the Day of the Dead piece relies too much on cutouts, but I love the genre. Same for the legacy D56 pieces they did. Demographics will influence the popularity of this line and you have no Latino representation in the panel, which may explain the lack of enthusiasm, but I assure you, it's there.

When do the Micheal exclusive usually get announced?

In 2022 they revealed the Michaels exclusives in feb with the main line, but last yr we got the main line the start of Jan, and the exclusives at the end of March! Never know 🤷🏼‍♀️
