I used to collect certain villages whether Halloween and or Christmas, first time hearing of the facades. Kinda disappointed though that they are expensive to begin with and yet its only the front that is done. I do prefer the all around display items that are completely done. Thats just me. Another thing is, the Michael's i go to never have the displays light up or on... Kinda boring that they have the items out with the cords but you can't get a feel for them when they never hook them up. Oh well.
I bought the graveyard BAR last year.I made my own graveyard to put it in...this piece would be perfect to put it in.

My problem is the price. At least here in Canada you can get a much better set up for the same price!

That looks like a good piece. I do agree that if you ran it non stop you are probably going to have issues with those wobbly cars flying off the top. Side note....bro is handsome. A+ for sure.

I got mine at Michaels with a 15 percent off a sale item (so 35 percent off total), plus a 20 dollar reward coupon, so I got it for less than 50! Online vendors have it for a reasonable price too. The normal retail price at Michaels is bonkers though!
I bought this to go with my spooky town Halloween village, and I will also use the crypts as part of my Dept. 56 Dickens village. It will be perfect with the figurines of Scrooge and the ghost of Christmas yet to come. Thanks for the review!
@@SpookyVillages I had a 15% off coupon i found online...then when i got to store they said it had already been used.. Haven't seen any coupons for sale items (not sure what point of signing up for emails was)..now all the pieces are gone. I really hate how stupid Michaels has been with the coupons. I mean I see a senior and military discount..maybe that's how they are selling out. Rather wait till next year for the online retailers at a fair price.
I ordered mine from Sparkle Castle for $50. They packaged it extremely well and shipped fast. I will support small shops over big box any day.
Have it, love it! I did put the Lemax creepy tree aside to it, love it as an addition.

Doug, Yeah, the reason I didn't buy this was because DIY. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just not for me. It's funny you mention the older Lemax Yards. That's what I ended up buying awhile ago, because it wasn't DIY and had all sorts of cool lighting! I chose Ghoul's Night Out. And the funny thing is, I actually bought a couple of tiny tombstones to further decorate it. So I guess I did a bit of DIY to it. However, the lighting and static pieces made it right for me, even without adding anything. Thanks for showing off this piece. I was interested in at least seeing more of it. vgv
I totally get how it being DIY wouldn't be for everyone! I really have no current use for the piece but figure at some point I'll be happy to have it!

Now I would like Lemax to take this same idea and make a customizable corn maze. Maybe a fence or row of corn for around the outside with corn rows that can be moved around inside. It would be even better if it had the spooky light up eyes. I hope they reintroduce those separate spooky corn row pieces like they used to have. Other pieces that could be added in would be a scarecrow and pumpkins and hay bales, etc. A-maze-ing Pumpkin Patch was a step in the right direction, but no building attached and no animation and talking would be better.

Good review! I’m glad to see your crypt was painted well. Mine had some unfinished spots where the white porcelain could be seen. I love this idea though of being able to customize a set of pieces. I wish the gate opened and closed. If they had made the fencing movable too, then you would have even more flexibility to decorate and maybe add more of these together. Overall it’s a good thing.
Sometimes foam breaks pieces while putting back in box.

I like this alot. Not many people set up a cemetery but it's a staple in spooky town. So versatile and you can add stuff and people. ❤
Thanks for the review, Doug. I really like how this piece looks, but considered right away that I didn't want to dedicate that much space to something I couldn't change the shape of. But it would be cool to have it set somewhere else in the house, like the entry hall, aside from our usual Halloween display. Looking forward to the FG Square items. Not having any Menards around, seeing your review could really help in deciding whether to order some.

I’m an old thespian and while I love the Mortis Theater, this one looks almost like the one I used to do plays at. 😊 I was happy to grab it.
There really isn't a bad choice for theaters. I think they should have mounted the ghosts from the back. That would have hid the plastic strip from view. Otherwise, a beautiful building.
I really love the visual effects on this one. It looks like Lemax decided to try a lot of new techniques on this building that will be great for future designs.
Amazing building BUT... huge issues. I had to return two of them at Michaels for lighting issues. After bringing back the second, Michael's manager said they likely won't be carrying spooky town next year with how many returns they get. First theater, half the sign lit up. Second, half the lights wouldn't light. Lemax NEEDS to have people test these products before shipping. Their quality control is honestly getting exhausting. I'm at the point now where I'm almost done buying new buildings.
I love this, I decided to get it now with an extra 10% off. They are selling out of this, only one store has more than 4 in stock..By the time August rolls around they will all be gone.

I got this piece as soon as I saw it. My favorite. It gives me an 80s vibe.
I love this piece too - the lighting is amazing. The small movie posters are a great touch and love how they are backlit.
The marquee says in red, "I ROTTING NOW"
I think they hit it out of the park with this one. I'm a vintage horror movie buff, and this will be in my home theater year round. Even down to the glowing posters on the side, the details are so fun and well thought out. I don't mind the ghost plastic pieces, I think it gives it that B movie vibe.
I purchased this one the first day I saw it in stores. They had a couple of them, I went to the movies & then came back & they were gone 😅 the associate had to get one from the top shelf & a week later they were all gone from my Michael’s. This one is my favorite from the whole collection! This one definitely works alone or in a village. I love it so much 🥹 it’s so nostalgic & comforting to look at haha I’m glad this one doesn’t have a soundtrack or any mechanisms. I think that would’ve taken away from it & I wouldn’t want the mechanisms to make noise on this when it’s muted. I think this one is perfect 👻 I would like a couple other pieces but I need a better sale haha

I just did a review of the Spooky Town pieces too, and this was hand’s down our favorite as well. So charming and nostalgic🎃🖤🎃 we are gonna keep it out all year in our family movie room. Love your reviews!

Doug - has there been any word about coupons for Michaels this season? Or did I miss it, or are they just not doing them anymore?
I got the Facade when it came in stock on July 3rd online for 20% off. Today, they’re still running the 20% off online. Before they became available where I live, Micheal’s was showing a 40% off code on their site…online only. Yet, they stated “coming soon” with the 40% off code. As soon as they became available, they said my 40% off code was invalid. *I did try to purchase it with the 40% off before they were available online. But, there was no “buy now” button. I consider that false advertising. I’m wondering if anyone was able to use that 40% off with code (online only)??
