I’d absolutely love to have such a cushy car. Every affordable car these days has such a firm suspension for “sporty” reasons that hardly anything has a nice soft ride. My dream car would be a compact car with super high build quality, soft suspension, and great sound deadening that’s also a hybrid that gets at least 50MPG or an EV with 300 miles of range. Edit: also when you get to the part with the mood stuff, normally car speaker audio is never super obvious if it’s good or bad through the Go Pro and such, but this might be one of the first cars where I can actually tell that the sound system is genuinely very good.

They had replaced it twice under warranty & it always comes back. It mainly does this when it's hot out, so been noticing it again ALOT over the past few weeks. @@johnakkman9993 Meanwhile, Lexus still has giant plastic buttons and interiors from 20 years ago. Their latest LS has some interesting materials, but you'll see like 7 types of materials and patterns on the same door which is just silly. Their exteriors stink and have been ugly for several generations now, and even most Lexus owners can't even tell the difference between an ES and an LS, let alone other people. It's also smaller and less impressive than it used to be in the rear and many Lexus LS owners moved to the G90 and found it a nice upgrade. If you check the forums, many G90 owners came from the LS after Lexus stopped innovating and kept catering to grandparents who still think "lexus is reliable". Lexus unfortunately gave up on sedans years ago, they just make the same SUV with different names and a 1-2" difference between their models, like many other manufacturers. They made the LFA then forgot they can make cool cars. They made the LC500 which people love, and none of their sedans and SUVs have much in common with it for some dumb reason.

Seat controls on doors are just next level comfort despite the fact they brands copy Mercedes; it doesn't matter. Even Range Rover has them. Every car should have them on the doors, or at least on the side of the center tunnel like Aston has them, and other brands. This thing would look baller with 22s. Kinda looks like a Maybach. It needs more sound deadening.

No. The only Kias and Hyundais that had that issue were cheapo base model ones with zero options in the US because in other countries they came with push to start and standard security features which are required on all cars. The US just had low standards and people who wanted the cheapest car possible got those. Genesis sedans have been around since 2009 with push to start, good safety features and none of those issues. They got nothing to do with entry-level front wheel drive cars.

The problem is with people’s perceptions. If you drive the Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 series or Audi A8 as opposed to this, it’s all about perception and brand name.

All of these are discounted by at least $15K at dealerships without any negotiating. I think Genesis way miscalculated what people are willing to pay for a non-German luxury car. Nice car, but a loaded one should have been about $75K MSRP max, not $100K.

it should have a 3.5 twin turbo V8...luxury is spelled with a V and an 8. Go ahead and charge more for it, but it has to have an V8. How could a hood be a jar?

They had one before this, mine has the N/A 5.0 but with all the emissions requirements everyone went for smaller engines with turbos. When's the last time you saw a naturally aspirated V8 in the S class, 7 series or A8? They've all been turbo and sounding like crap for a few generations now. These days, even AMGs have 4 and 6 cylinders. I think outside of the Lexus is500, Genesis was the last manufacturer to offer luxury sedans with a naturally aspirated V8 engine, especially when it comes to full-size sedans.

The wheels are really nice, the overall design very pleasant yet its too generic - needs some kind of personality to read in the six figure category IMHO - the chrome strip around the windows manages to appear cheap. And, sorry but that interior color looks like it was fashioned from melted Barbie dolls :-)
