Since adding cayenne pepper to the seeds, the House Finches have not been coming around much. I suspect it has to do with the color of the pepper more than anything. In the wild, the color red typically indicates danger. I have high hopes that they will eventually get used to it and start coming around a bit more. The juvenile at the end of this video does not care one bit. It is clearly very hungry as it take awhile for the little one to fill its belly. Hopefully you enjoyed this video.
