Grab A Gear did a huge Real World MPG test on a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime. We wanted to give you a REAL MPG test. Some people just drive 100 miles and say they got 100 MPG, that's not true. That’s really awesome. That’s crazy that the EPA rated it so low. This is one of the only “real Mpg test” videos out here. All the other videos are like you said, bs and don’t do real mpg. Also your right about mpg and mpge. I saw that other person comment on your other video. Guy is an idiot. Great job and I’m looking forward to more videos 🎉

Those of us who only use the battery back and forth to work for weeks on end, do in fact get 90+ mpg……if you just get in the car and drive and don’t rely on ev mode you are going to get the same mpg as other HVs in this class. If you are a regular long distance driver the prime does not make sense for the extra 9or 10k you will pay over and above a standard rav4 hybrid. This is a good video….but it does not apply to those of us who only drive 20 miles one way to work. Thank you for the video

I mean the video says 5800 mile mpg road test. We have a second one that has range and real world EV testing. But yea you are right.
So you are using”some” ev only?? and mostly hv mode. Be nice to know exactly how many miles were ev vs hv. Thanks

For the most part I run the car in HV the entire time. Let the computer do the work. But if I’m coming to a hill I will switch to ev to save gas. As far as how many miles in ev I’m not sure.

Out of the 5800 miles probably 300 was all EV. Maybe a bit more.
For starters you’re not sure how many times you charged your car. So it’s not exactly “real world”.
