Just got a 2024 GT in glacier white pearl (yes the 2.5) for 35 otd. All about negotiating and timing.
I don’t think he’s adding this in the video..But this car is WITH the GT1 package (adaptive cruise control, folding mirrors, cooling seats, overhead camera etc).
This car has been out for going on two years now it's beautiful car love everything about the K5 looks sporty the rear of the Sonata looks better which I'm interested in both of these cars the K5 is a gorgeous car ... agree 👍 Ben needs AWD still worth the 💰 money.
My everyday Kia sedan! Amazing job Ben.
I have a Sonata N line or you can say (Sonata N) and I love it man, i just wish it had ventilated seats and heating steering wheel like this K5 had. But still a great car

No one has any of these so I bought a 2022 AWD Stinger GT Line instead. I'm glad I did because there's more room in the Stinger.
I think they should do an AWD version since they're cancelling the stinger

Msrp is actually $37k with the “GT1 package” which is a ridiculous $4200 but adds all the goodies you would want… so pushing it closer to $40k which I would expect rear wheel or all wheel drive for performance. Still a tempting upgrade from Optima which I’ve loved

@@VanquishedAgain yup after taxes and fees - that’s pushing 40k. It’s still a great value, though - and I would know, because I just bought it two weeks ago in Ebony Black with the Chestnut Brown Interior 🤩 Amazing car

@jseels ah fair enough. I don't even consider tax since I always trade in for sure it's a great deal considering how expensive everything is now (ugh). It's a shame the exhaust isn't louder

So we get the digital dash in Canada but don't get the surround view
its not AWD because the entry level stinger has the same powertrain with AWD. no need to make the same car twice.
Will they be redoing the dash? It looks extremely dated.. otherwise nice car

Oh man, I don't hate it.
Why is this thing not a fastback?? Why is every full-size sedan not a fastback? They can slap AWD in these things and their rear seats fold flat to make quite a bit of cargo space, so quit going “ohh shoot nobody wants sedans anymore they all want crossovers” and start putting a rear HATCH on every mid size sedan. Which automakers are going to write me a check for saving the sedan?
They will probably will not make the gt awd because it would eat there stinger gt sales completely. That’s the only reason to buy the stinger is to get that power plant in a awd platorm.

@@MidniteLiquid 😂😂😂 lmao thats hilarious. Coincidently, I had nothing but problems with my TRD. The car also rattled due to poor tolerances and bad quality control. It drove nice but I wouldn’t bag on Kia any longer. They have stepped their game up tremendously, and the interior of this car is really well built. The interior tolerances feel sturdy and well put together. The GT1 package is a must for this car. Gotta say it’s also faster than my old TRD by a significant margin, which was crazy to me. Yeah it’s fwd with no lsd, but let me tell you.. this thing is a roll monster.

Easily the K5.. I own the GT model it’s way more fun than a Camry, looks better and you get the 100k 10 year power train warranty standard.

If they made a phev with the same power but linear torque curve and great mpg I would consider buying one. The wheelspin is just too much and the future is electric. I love my Accord hybrid because the power is actually usable due to the linear torque.

Once you get the hang of it the power is very usable. It is not a car thar you can just hop in and let it rip. It takes some practice to learn how to use the launch control and how to minimize wheel spin.
This or the 2.5 stinger?

The GT is faster than the Stinger GT line because of the weight. I drove both and went with the K5 GT. The Stinger GT is the best but more expensive

I was debating between this and a Honda Accord. I am glad I did not go with the Kia. The interior in my 2022 hybrid sport looks so much better. For starters it has an all digital gauge cluster, buttons instead of a knob to shift, and I like the infotainment a lot better. I'm sure there are more differences but those are the ones I noticed right off the bat.
Kia does have AWD as an option on that car.

That’s the GT line, not the GT. I need AWD though so if I don’t get the Prius I’d get the GT line

The K5 needs an interior refresh…that infotainment screen with the curved gloss black on the left side looks a bit tacky compared to the newer interiors of the rest of the lineup.
You'll be able to enjoy it for the first few weeks, then it'll sit at the dealer for months waiting on a new motor

i went with the K5 GT .. dont like the front end of the Stinger, and the mustang style vents yiish
KIA and BMW never go together. KIA is at the bottom of the food chain lol

Lmao, badge snobbery at its absolute finest folks. Kia's driving dynamics are designed by Albert Biermann from BMW's M division, body/interior design is by Peter Schreyer from Audi (he designed the Audi TT) Stop the ignorance

@@Edward-nx7eh Unfortunately doesn’t fix the fact that it is a KIA. And yeah, brand snobbery is definitely a thing. Some people, like myself, want to drive something with that type of presence, (BMW, Merc, etc)

@@brandondarnes3699 Since Consumer Reports just rated BMW #3 (actually #2 after Toyota & Lexus, who BMW sell Supra to), while also reporting over 60 recalls for over 7 MILLION Korean vehicles as 🔥 hazard recalls, this entire page is clickbait 💩, no wonder they have to hire from Germany, their sport division is N (after 50 years of M) & that "performance division" is fwd. 4 cyl.
Awd is terrible idea lol talk about being slow and gas mileage gonna suck. Rather have fwd Ew to rwd lol but I rather have that then awd
