Ford managed to make the new cars look older than the old cars. That's quite an achievement.

Yes, I know as I have one. The only thing you need to keep an eye on is the coolant reservoir. I'd advise you top it up monthly. There's a 148hp and 182hp version. I have the 148hp and it's still fairly quick. A simple remap will get it to where it needs to be if you were bothered..

I think this engine suits better a fiesta

They get so much torque out of that little 1.0 litre. Amazing! Enjoy the coffee. :)

Actually most companies squeeze about 200Nm a\out of their 1.0-1.2l three cylinder engines.

@@sic22l Correct but my 78 vw Rabbit (Polo) had a 1.6l that made probably 80ish HP. In the 60's-80's big block v8's sometimes made less than 200hp. So don't "well actually" me.

Yeah true, it's amazing how optimized the 1.0L are becoming, this ecoboost is something, it's almost like the 1.0tsi or 1.0tfsi from VW group, also very powerfull for that little guy, I drove a 1.0 audi a3 from 2018 and that thing is amazing it looks like it has 150hp but has only 115 or smth

jest bardzo dobrze wyciszony jak na kompakta, mam takiego focusa 1.0, rocznik 2021, z pokrętłami i przyciskami bez tego beznadziejnego zintegrowanego ze wszystkim tabletu. Na trasie super - dla mnie jednym z kluczowych parametrów wyboru był właśnie hałas we wnętrzu, ponieważ w niektórych markach producenci niezbyt mocno zwracają na ten parametr uwagę!

Ogni auto hanno il cambio Automatico.

The Focus is a good car in itself. Unfortunately, the 1.0 Ecoboost is much louder than VW's 1.0 TSI. It also has considerable vibrations below 2000. These are so annoying that you always want to downshift.

Yep, i would tolarate those engines but only in automatic or CVT. With manual you have to constant downshift and on 2 gear below 15kmh the engine is dying.

I had a Fiesta with that engine and loved it. Yes, you`ll need to cruise at 2k RP, but it is fruity, pulls quite well and sounds surprisingly good at redline.

@@SteffenSaethre Got the mhev engine in my Puma and it's great. No vibrations, and that little motor does a good job of filling in for the lag below 2k, pretty punchy, and I like the sound too.

Fantastic car, but what a shame you had to drive it so hard and fast all of the time! Why? Going down by that railway line at that speed was just crazy and asking for it!

Thanks for uploading, but this is a bad example of driving a car in 2023 with high fuel prices. An average of 8,2 l/100 km is ridiculous! If you acceleratie smoothly and keep the engine between 2000 and 3000 rpm you will still have decent performance but much better fuel economy. My average with this car (a Wagon!) after > 10k km is 5,8 l/100 km and I’m not al slow driver. Also, you should not rest your hand on the gear stick while driving. It’s bad for the transmission 🤓

8-speed auto in htis car is very expensive and it increases fuel consumption by about 15-20%.
