Good shit fellas... im at 53 dogs since october 1. 28 of those were with my 223 and lost 7, decided im done with 223 and picked up a waypoint 2020 in 6 creed. Since, i havnt had 1 runner and minimal fur damage and zero misses. Didnt think id like going to a bolt gun but i couldnt imagine using anything else now...

Thank you!!! We have tossed around f the idea of going to bolt guns, only downside could be slower on the follow up shots. But it might also force us to give the dogs a chance to stop and give us another shot instead of mag dumping on them lol

what are you using as a range finder? how does it interface with the scope?

Great first hunt. The only way to find a piece of gears weakness is to field test it. That scope's image looks good and it looks like you were centered on that dog, so hopefully it doesn't have an issue holding zero. Coyote are tough, but the dog bled a lot, so it's probably stone cold by now. Looking forward to your next episode.

To get away from the vacxe, which I did not click on this video to see, I had to scroll almost half way through. Now lets see if they ruined the rest of it with music. what was left of the video was pretty good. Of 2 shooters you guys only got 1 out of 3? Probably need to make a trip to the range & catch up on proving your rifles. Thanks for posting

He's in Maine, coyotes are legal all year but night hunting has a sseason. I think night season is basically around deer season. Mid December to end of August I think?

I am curious as to the rangefinder displayed in the scope screen. Is it actually visible in the view finder or did you photoshop it into the video. Thanks.

That is the rangefinder that I am testing from RIX. It does display on the screen and record it in the video.

So that lrf will be an add on for the leap 6? Or will it be a completely new scope they offer that is a lrf model?

Hey guys,great hunt! Im using a grendel w/pulsar xg50 lrf. Just wondered what yardage you zero your rifles. I have thought about going 22-250 but i hunt alone and bolt guns don't work for me on follow up shots. Im really interested in the 22 ARC that hornady is introducing.

243 or 6mm creed bolt guns is wat i use, had a lot of runners with 233.

@@OwnTheHunt update! I had awful weather, decent snowfall throughout the day with small breaks and I went out on one and shortly into it the snow started again. 20+mph wind with gusts of 30. Threw rabbit distress on and within a few minutes had a coyote run right past me. (100ft or less) Between the wind, snow and it being almost 6:00 pm I didn’t see the coyote till it was too late. 😭 live and ya learn! Good fun!

hows the rix 6 scope working out. did they get the lrf figured out? will it be released at shotshow

The L6 is nice just not the right scope for me right now. They haven’t fixed the issues I was having. The LRF works good!

Incredibly happy!!!!! No real issues. The audio recording isn’t great so I record audio externally and sync it in video editing.

No I’m running a 6.5 Grendel. Unfortunately my suppressor QD mount was loose and was causing my rounds to be about 6” off at 100 yards. All fixed now and there will be no more runners!

Awesome vid and edit💯👍🏻👍🏻You guys might want to get away from the 6.5 Grendel no offense just don’t anchor them. To slow keep after it 👍🏻

The 6.5 Grendel cartridge is more than adequate for the job at hand. It doesn't matter what cartridge your using if it's not hitting where your aiming.

Thanks for the input guys just going to agree to disagree on the Grendel not being a adequate round, in my experience it’s 💯 about shot placement and both of us were a tad low with our shots, I was fortunate to strike high enough to take out her pump station…
