Always look forward to your coyote hunts. I made a comment on the Texas Hunting Forum about the video corruption issue you were having and got this response from Double Naught Spy. "I don't know what he is or isn't doing. He is pro staff (so I am as of a couple of weeks ago, for full disclosure). I have experienced multiple issues, most of which were done away with after the 2nd update. I have had several supposed corrupt videos, only to find that they were only corrupt if I tried to download from the app. Once I got home and downloaded via USB to the computer, no problem. The initial problem and seen on at least one of his videos is the jumping or skipping image while still recording audio. Mine definitely had that until after the 2nd update. I don't know if he has updated or not. My biggest hassle has been the clock resetting to 2014 and me not realizing it and not finding files in the folder from the correct date because they are saved to the folder from 2014. The clock issue was an uncharged clock battery that users can charge by plugging in the USB to the scope from a charger or computer and letting the battery charge that way (with the scope ON). This does not charge the 18650 battery, only the internal clock battery. To be fair to Rix, video and video/audio issues have plagued virtually every company that has put onboard recording on their scope. It took Pulsar several months to bring audio to the Trail and when they did, it wasn't sync'd. If you want a lot of ATN videos, you will see the audio and video are not syncing together, the sound of the shot often being 0.5-2.0 seconds behind the motion of the recoil. AGM had some issues that they got worked out (corrupted or failed save files?). Bering Optics is just staying with the silent videos (not audio). Nox and Trijicon don't even attempt onboard recording. I don't know what it is, but video and video/audio together are just a major challenge for some reason despite the fact that such recording technology isn't particular new, special, or high end. I will also add that every rollout has some glitches. None of us like it, but that is reality. What matters is whether or not the company addresses the issue(s) and how well. Given how I have seen the folks at Rix respond to issues so far, I don't doubt that they will work out this issues in fairly short order as other companies have done".

They sell a rangefinder that mounts separately and Bluetooths to the scope itself.

Glad you were upfront with the issues. I'm not dropping that kind of money till it has ZERO issues. I have been running a Thermion XM38 , since first came out five years ago. I have not had any problems with that scope whatsoever. That is absolute must when I make my next purchase that everything is flawless. I would have been considering these other brands, but after seeing this looks like I'll be waiting to replace my scope till I know for sure. What i'm getting is solid. I really love pulsars , but they seem to be a bit expensive next to the competitors at this time

Thank you! I went back to pulsar as it’s the only scopes I have ever run that have no issues and just work so good! There app is amazing and everything about them just is premium! Well worth the extra money.

That looks like the one I want it has three x base mag that's perfect. I have 4 batteries for my XM38, which will transfer. That's another reason why it's smart to stick with the thermion line. I've had lots of people trying to advise me to move towards the other companies. But I'm with you man. I do not want any issues. I really like the pulsarline and the thirmian you're bullet proof. I have dropped mine out of a tree. Stand 3 separate times when I used it as a scanner for deer and even though I was cringing and wouldn't recommend it. It didn't do any damage to whatsoever. I had just bought a axion2 xg35 lrf And the 320 resolution on the scope is starting to bug me. Although it is working just fine, I really can't afford to get another scope quite yet. But I plan on having one by the beginning of our next night season , november 2024. 1 I am glad I stumbled on to your guys as channel yesterday. You do a great job they're entertaining. You guys are personable and put together some awesome videos, keep up that good work.

@OwnTheHunt Holy crap I just looked that one up no way I'll be buying that one, lol. The regular thermion XG50 is something I can afford. I can't get information on the millikevan for that. What do you think about that scope? Seems like a pretty good deal for $3700.

Wow, that was one well fed coyote. Does the scope still function, just not recording video or audio at times ? I was hoping the firmware update would fix the issue.

Oh yes it functions flawlessly but the video corruption issue is something I can’t ignore because I need reliable footage to make these videos for my loyal viewers like you 😊

That's a Bummer with the scope, hopefully you can get it fixed. It's bites that you couldn't find the two Dogs. Especially the one that took multiple shots and was bleeding a lot. We're supposed to have a couple of snow storms starting tonight here in Central Illinois. Next week temps are supposed to get really cold with lows below zero.

Did you notice that these scopes have that terrible background noise in the videos ? Like...a high pitch frequency sound? I've heard it on other KZreadrs videos featuring these scopes as well!

I’m seriously considering this scope but I’m also stuck between this one and the Pulsar XQ50 Thermion Pro. Which one do you think is better? Pulsar has a better price point but is a 384 when RIX is a 640 Scope.

90 grain Varmageddon, it’s the shot placement. We need to slow down a little and make better shots. If we were shooting 300+ I’d be more willing to say it’s the round, but even that would be a stretch…

Your bullet choice and shot placement looked fine to me when you were here shooting at the target out beyond 100 yards (can’t remember what that farther distance was). Don’t second-guess yourself. You’re a good shot. And I know you know where your point of aim needs to be.

​@OwnTheHunt Things happen. I had to switch to bolt gun from AR, Illinois resident and PRICKSTER sucks😂 My issue has been trigger control, going from. Giselle 2 stage to Ruger American suck stock trigger has been hard. Put Mcarbo spring and have it down to 1.5lb. Still have an occasional trigger jerk miss. Real world adrenaline hunt, and taking all day perfect 300yd target shooting are 2 ENTIRELY DIFFERENT animals. I put a vertical steel 8x15 target. Went 300, 200, 150, 100, 50. All kill shots, the freaking dog standing perfect broadside at a 100 and miss, yet other night same thing at 317yds and drt. 🤷😂

What's your favorite time to hunt. At night time at the end of the day. Or get up at three o'clock in the morning and try to hit that end of the dark

Good and cheap aren’t words that go together when it comes to thermal. There are some budget friends options out there that work very well. The RIX Leap L3 is $2299 and the AGM Adder 35-384 is right around the same price. The pulsar talion XQ35 pro is on a big sale right now for $1795 and it’s really nice and I did a review of that on my channel.

@OwnTheHunt obviously not that good and you can't handle criticism either. The answer is right in the video of why you had runners and didn't have them dead where they stood. Things happen and I get that but honestly, being humble to your own mistakes might take you a little further. I definitely missed and made not so good shots because they do happen but I learned from my mistakes and not blamed the equipment when it wasn't the equipments fault. Obviously the video recording freeze up hurt in finding that one coyote.
