In the cager’s defense, there was room right before he began to merge. Chase just so happened to be accelerating at the same time that he decided to move over. On top of that, he had to merge anyway because the lane ended shortly afterwards. Chase being in the only available lane should’ve anticipated that.

I absolutely giggled when you talked about the brakes.....once you get used to those brakes, you would never want to have it different....they will get you out of more trouble than they get you into...great review, I was looking forward to it.

He tells the truth, the stopping power of the s1k is unreal and must be experienced. It's a combination of several factors, pads, light wheels, and electronically linked brakes, which activate the rear brake in just the right amount when squeezing the front.

Buying one in 22 days. I cant wait!!!!

@@whitegoodman7465 just bought 1 yesterday. got the M package as well. i love those heated grips and the most the lean assist on curves feels like your riding a 300.

OC: I've test rode a 2023 S1000RR and thought it was phenomenal. The M package has gotta be a more enjoyable ride. It definitely looks amazing with the M livery. Priced at 21k and getting every feature, it easily beats out any competition the likes of Ducati can throw at it.

You have to ride it when it's run in, Chase. I rode it on Saturday (video out next Fri). It doesn't really make any huge power until at least 10k, and goes ballistic at 12k. It's a totally different animal higher up the rev range. A nice bike, I enjoyed riding the RR. I think the M-1000-XR Competition will be the one to have on the road. Keep up the good work. Come drive my Rivian when you have the time!

I jsut got mine last week with the carbon wheels. Absolutely love this machine. I was skeptical on getting rid of mt 21 Yamaha R1 for this and I can tell you that I am not looking back. This thing is amazing and it's not even unlocked yet. The features and yes the brakes are amazing. If you know the brakes on the new R1's do not inspire confidence at all. Love it

That’s why you do a Accosato or Brembo caliper swap, get steel braided brake lines and Full sintered pads,RCS19 Brembo master cylinder swap, TTX Ohlins rear shock and Ohlins/Ktech/Bitubo fork cartridge kit, everything I just listed could’ve made the bike 110% better…

Daaaang ever since BMW changed the face of the S1K to a symetrical look, it looks even more sexy and mean. And this is probably the only supersport i'd be really willing to keep in my garage. And thank god for cruise control hahaha

My friend just bought this bike. Zero experience on motorcycles. So spending a lot of time with him on another bike and this thing isn’t coming out of rain mode for the first few months. Beautiful bike and a blast to ride. I’ve taken around a little bit in road on the break in period. Way better than my rsv4r.

As impressive as that bike is, it’s more impressive to see Chase wearing a cold weather jacket on a hot Georgia day. I have that same jacket and anything over 60° I’m dying from overheating.

Great video. I live in LA now, but I grew up around this area and recognize all the streets.

Makes me want to ride down to GA so you can borrow my F850GS. BMW is putting out amazing bikes these days.

@@DeathOnSpeedDial I gotcha. I have a 4RR now. It’s my first bike. I plan to ride it for one season then upgrade to an S1K. I heard if you put it in rain mode it’s cuts the HP to 130HP essentially making it a bigger 600cc. That way I can “grow” into it

I always feel a bit disappointed when you do first rides with bikes that are not broken in that you can't open up properly. Totally understand you take the opportunity when it comes though.

I was there last Saturday getting service on my 1000RR and I saw the S1000RR sitting there by the parts and accessories sales area. I was wondering if Chase was going to make a video on it.

NOT $21k with M package. It's $24k, approximately plus tax title license, etc. etc. $21,600 is approximately for the base model S1000RR with a premium package. The M package is an extra $4k+ depending on other add ons. The M package is not worth it. The premium package IS worth it.

This is now my dream bike. I need it.

How would you compare the s1000rr suspension to the mt10sp suspension? They pretty much have the same suspension, but different electronic packages controlling them. I'm having a toss up between buying the s1k or a mt10sp right now. The mt10sp looks like a bike a could ride comfortably for years and i feel like i would want to trade my bmw in after a couple years, but jesus that bmw is just insane. Only other issue Im having about the s1k is the cost of ownership and the fact not many dealerships will take it for trade in bc its bmw.

Chase, you just wait until the 2024 M 1000XR comes out next year with that same engine! 👀

did test ride on race pro , and its not that bad coming back from 600 not riding for many years. its very restricted even when limiter unlocked, needs a tune

They really are not all that I paid 15,000 for my brand new 2020 zx10r and I've rode every bike out and that 2020 zx10r just really does it for me I mean just amazing 👏 bike and I wouldn't buy or ride anything else the only other bike I'd pay 29,000 for would be a cbr rrr that will blow the wings off that bmw but I'd forsure keep my zx10r best 👌 bike I've ever rode....

ik I'm very late but man! this bike rocks! i'mma buy one for myself IF there's any 2023 stock available in the dealership here in the Philippines.

OC: The s1000rr is a great bike but I’m still in the gsxr 750 camp. I don’t like a bike with a lot of tech. I had a 2018 s1000rr and it did feel very synthetic in its ride quality. Some people may like it but I personally didn’t. It’s too perfect of a bike to where riding it doesn’t feel as fun. The gsxr 750 is long in the tooth but I like the raw feeling and I love the extra torque compared to a 600cc. My personal opinion but I love the gsxr 750.

Stage 2 , tune full pipes then Put it in race mode and there’s nothing syntactical, just an animal hard to control

It's kinda hard to tell for me but are the Brake lines rubber or are they steel braided?

I had my mind set on the S1000R but after throwing my leg over this thing and doing a demo ride, I was convinced that the handling is far superior. Comfort? Yes the S1000r. But if you still want the sport bike looks and power then the S 1000rr . Comfort wise, was not as aggressive as I thought it was going to be compared to other sport bikes in the market.

@@danialhawari7085 I didn't test ride the R1 or RSV4, but the overall seating position is so much more comfortable on the S1000rr compared to the R1. The R1 has a super aggressive seating position. I'm so happy with my S1000rr M

@armandoarias2779 The s1k is probably the best litre bike to start on if you're crazy enough to start on one. You can adjust the power so theoretically you can up the power as you learn. But still not the best idea lol

OC: Guy at my MSF course said he bought one of these as his first ever bike. Even rode it home with no experience before he even started the course. Lets all pray he won't be another statistic. That being said that bike is gorgeous!

Do you know why I can't read the data when I collected 8 laps on the track？ It shows there are 8 laps saved.But when I check them， they are nothing in each section. My bike doesn't have the lap accessories, only used the factory lap timer function.

Where did your friend buy the bike? I can't find a BMW motorcycle dealer in Atlanta.

What’s the difference between the m1000rr and the s1000rr with the m package?

I saw the m1000 rr a couple days ago in person and that thing looks tiny. It legit looks like a 400 I had to double check to make sure it wasn't a fake but the chasis was numbered.

Hey chase, can you do a first ride on 2023 ducati panigale V4S

I have a 22 s1000rr when I seen the winglets on the m1000rr in pictures, I was like, I need those for mine! Well, I ordered carbon fiber winglets, drilled holes in my fairings, installed them annnnnnd it definitely looked better before, but the $$ I spent on them and having the holes drilled In my fairings I gotta keep them I asked at least 10 of my friends what they thought and all of them said nah looked better with them off!!! The design makes no sense either! They are meant for downforce yet they are attached to the fairings??? So when you push down on them it moves the whole fairings!?!? The piece they added in between/below the headlights helps a little bit with the flexing but it's still only attached to the fairings... also NEVER RIDE ON THE SIDE OF A CAR!! ALWAYS EXPECT A STOPPED CAR TO NOT SEE YOU AND PULL OUT!!! You ride like everyone sees you....

Be aware..... NEVER ride in traffic's blind spot. Your defensive driving in that instance was bad. Be aware of your surroundings. And that Toyota.... if you had a problem with that... you need a car.

Idk if $21 is right. I’ve been on bmws site and the full m package is a lot more expensive…the Msrp for the base model is 21. The full m carbon package is additional 5k

3 types of wheels are available, base, forged, and carbon. He has the forged if the price was not 24k. 26 with electronic suspension.
