My 04 has 300k miles and still runs like a scalded dog. Love the tundras, want a new one

In terms of style and design, I would say it's really special over all the cars.

This will become junk after few years. Old is gold. What was Toyota thinking with twin turbos? Don’t you remember what happened to Mercedes twin turbos? They became junk after 5 years

It’s really funny that Toyota is getting rid of their V8 in their pickups Ford has been doing that since 2015 Yes the F150 does have the 5.0 but it’s the chances are remote that it’ll be here in 2030 Higher end F-150s like the raptor ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WITH TURBO 6s So yeah Toyota owners welcome to the No V8 club

No V8. No tow hooks. Bumpers are integrated into body panels. Bumping something minor will cause major damage. It’s no longer a work truck. Purely grocery getter. Or for the sand. I will keep my 2015 5.7.

It's a dinosaur. It has to be extinct!

The Cadillac of pickups has been incredible for years but this new 2022, more power & efficiency & to top that, i-force hybrid. With its advanced suspension, other features I've not heard from other trucks, it's sure to be the difference that keeps it a contender for everyone. I would love to have one.

Toyota Tundra fans would love to have the Tundra packed with the 5.7 V8 combined with the 10 speed transmission.

hands down I love them TRD offroad wheels and tires i think they are the best in the market

They way underrated the power. The new lexus suv with this motor is dynoing at 377 awhp. This motor without hybrid motor is making 460-475 crank hp. Love it

I just bought a 21 Tacoma Trd OR. I can’t wait until they redo the Tacoma. I hope for a 4cyl.Turbo/Hybrid, coil rear springs & 10 speed auto like the Tundra, and finally 4 wheel disc drakes. 👍🏻

Hey, when you get done with half ton trucks, there’s this thing called the heavy duty truck market. Utility companies won’t buy Tundras if there’s no heavy duty lineup to pull backhoes and trackhoes.

Don’t worry about it not having a v8, Toyota tuned this twin turbo v6 sounds very close to the v8, u wouldn’t tell the difference and the mpg would make u not miss the v8 at all. As for electronics I’m not so sure…

I have a 2018 Tundra and love it. I like the new Tundra but not enough to replace my 2018. But one thing that will keep me from buying the new Tundra in the future is the absence of tow hooks. Who in their right mind would not put tow hooks on a truck especially the off road versions. I have personally had to use the tow hooks on my truck a couple of times. Hopefully the change this by the time I go to replace my 2018.

Wonder how the sr5 plastic front grill is going to look in 4-5 year when it fades.

The 5.7 was bulletproof, but the gas mileage and power/torque of the iforce max outweighed the benefits of the iforce v8.

I'll let the hype die down before I even think of getting rid my 14 Tundra Platinum

@@SantanKGhey1234 turbos wear out the engine quicker. In terms of reliability the 5.7 would out last the v6. The v6 would also have a bigger strain because of the weight it has to carry( full size truck)

Is the new Tundra slightly longer than the current one?

I’m taking a long look at the Tundra. Currently in a Jeep Gladiator. I want more power and comfort. The turbo charged v-6 should be adequate. I had a 2015 F-150 with a 2.7 eco boost engine. That truck had a lot of power. Anyone know when the Tundra will start shipping to dealers?

They stopped making the V8 because of emissions. The U.S. is aiming to having hybrid options for 50% of the market before 2030. Aside from that, the fact that the V6 makes more power and spoiler alert: the best mpg of any truck if you get the hybrid option, there's no loss. Torque and HP are higher with the 6 than the 8.

Oh wow, they actually put a locker on it. My issue is the reliability of the turbo charged engine. I thought those didn't last nearly as long as a natural aspirated engine.

Turbos spinning at 100,000 + rpm will self destruct and won’t last 500,000 miles. Don’t kid yourselves.

Toyota must become the world's best company. Always trying to develop design I see a lot. Seems to be selling a lot. That's why I like Toyota.

Most definetly. There's no way this turbo charged V6 engine will hit those high mileage numbers. I worked at a body shop and we had Tundra with that IForce 5.7 V8. When I left that shop it had around 280K miles. Years later I would still see that truck around the town.....probaly still runs like a champ....

@@A1621994S I'm not sure just how similar is that 3.5 Ecoboost from GT with one that Ford uses in their trucks. I know that it's based on the same engine that they put in Raptor, and so far that engine had it's share of issues. It has been on the unreliable side. Also I'm pretty sure thaf GT internal components are forged so they can withhold all that power. You are comparing apples and oranges. In other words you are comparing high performance engine to every day working mule engine. While smaller displacements turbocharged engines in trucks can be reliable, they can't be as reliable as those old Tundra V8 engines. Like I said, those engines can run 200-300K miles without any major issues.....if any.

Love how they said "better fuel economy estimates." This puppy gets 6mpg while towing.

I love the truck, I was hoping for a code system like Ford has to be able to unlock the truck without a keyfob

How does the hybrid have more horsepower?

It's going to take some time to see if all these new engines hold up. My guess is that all these new engines in all the truck manufacturers won't last 10 years/300k. It would of been nice to see a non- turbocharged version of this V6 to help with mpg and durability.

Will be in the market for a truck in a couple years. Was seriously considering a Tundra despite being a Ford guy most of my life…until I learned it won’t be available with a naturally aspirated V8. Whoever was responsible for that idea should be fired.
