Hi kon, What is your opinion if toyota malaysia have bring in 2.0 dynamic force engine like taiwan. Would it be better choice or sell more becoz of less fuel consumption and lower road tax?
Car enthusiasts would still prefer to drive agile sedan compared to the clumsy suv. Cheers.
Can increase the ground clearance by using bigger tyres?
Sales man told me need 1 year to get this car :( I find the accerlation is very very slow, and the pedal doesn't move the car so much in the beginning? Am I correct on my feeling? I thought it's 2.5 engine

This camry & accord are consider rare cars nowadays....there are more merc A / C, bmw 1/2/3 series & passat on the road

Amazing review. Would be nice if you test drive other D segment sedans and compare like Accord, Mazda & Passat R Line

the Mazda6 is an aged product, but still decently competitive. the Accord now is the least convincing, as it now feels little more than an oversized Civic. Passat is the one comes up closest to the Camry in being a complete all-rounder and adds the appeal of powerful yet efficient turbocharged engines to its appeal

@@KonWaiLuen One thing I didn't agree with you but now realised is Camry handles better than Passat. One thing I notice the very Japanese and un-European characteristic of Passat is steering heft, and feel. Precision is excellent but too light that I could make 90⁰ turn with just a finger. I love Camry steering. Best in segment maybe defeated by Mazda 6. Perhaps the R Line can be on par or better than Camry in handling but steering is so and so.

Kon before your review in YT, i had tested 1 unit comparing your feedback of dynamic drive really disappointing sometime im not sure is you to provide good feedback for Toyota good sales? After my short drive it dont feel that great as you describe.

Kon, new camry with 209hp still lose to e39 525i 192hp right ? Camry 2022 0-100 9-10sec, e39 525i 0-100 7-8sec.. berat also same, 1.5tan for both car

hahahaha... let's just say I wouldn't take my 525i on a drag race against this guy. on paper numbers is one thing, aging of components, that's another.

@@KonWaiLuen haha, not race lehh i saje tengok the figure the action. Pelik pun ada jugak why that almost 20 years old car with same weight lower power still can beat this 2022 car 😝. And the best part is handling + comfort 😎😈. E39 lagi gila lah i must say 🤭

I don't think owner of this segment looks at how powerful for a drag race. Totally different type of buyer more to those that after conti workshop nightmare, I just want a car that give me peace of mind

People who talk about horse power and speed, most of their drive still stuck in city jam..unlike they always drive in Sepang Circuit.
dont be surprised that most will opt for a recond Harrier 2.0 NA with similar price...

Camry should have originally came with this engine
The trim of this Camry seat is not neat..the leather cover has a lot of wrinkles..plus the shape of the stitching which does not show it upmarket.
4:22 now what's up with that somewhat rattling sounds from this 200k+ car 😏

One thing that people don't get when complaining about CBU car prices, is the reason for such prices is because of the consumer demand (Or lack there of). D segment sedans are a dying breed as more and more people prefer SUVs these days. A decade ago Camrys and Accords are just as common as any other car, but they've become unicorns these days. So obviously it doesn't really make that much sense to invest in local production anymore if they don't sell nearly as much of them.
The leather seat stitching are a real turn-off.
first car wa a 1993 camry, 100% will get a camry again

I travel regularly to JB and Penang what you talking about. My full tank averages around 750km - 850 which is very good for a D-segment sedan.
I hate the buzzing sound of the interior of Toyota new cars.
interior is boring and the infotainment is just tragic lol japanese cant do interior
