I've had an ETC installed for years, recently my aircon broke down and I had it fixed, after fixing the A/C, i noticed the delay became worse. And sometimes, when running at high speeds, and doing overtakes, power or pull is delayed.... what should I do? Is this just delay or is this a sign of breaking down? I drive a Hilux Revo 2.4G 2017.

Ok, so I could be experiencing electronic throttle response delay in my 370Z but I feel it’s more than that. When I press the gas the car is kind of squishy, it feels like weight transfer and could be suspension I imagine too but still it’s more than that. Could it be engine mounts or something else. I mean the car just turned 20,000kms so still pretty new but possible when I bought the car with 8,000kms it could have been beaten before hand. I want to make the car tighter on response and I am in the midst of doing coil overs but I’m just wondering what u guys know about this or if you’ve experienced this. ??? Any help please

Great explanation! I couldn't stand owning a car with an electronic throttle though. All my cars have a throttle cable and I'm so used to the instant response that smoothly driving someone else's modern car and even just holding a steady speed takes a quite a bit of focus.

Hi sir, ask ko lang po, pang fuel saving tips? Pag sa highway drive po ba maintain lang po ba dapat ang foot sa gas pedal (given the right rpm and walang stop). Or pwede tapak tas bitaw?

Sharing my bad experience with this shop. Paid the remap fee of 20k and at the end of the day, no power increase and ubos pera, gas at oras sa hassle pabalik balik na retune and all nasisi pa na may problema daw oto ko. Anyway, just be very careful. Check everything before handing them your hard earned money. In my case, I had a bad idle fluctuation issue after remap when Aircon is ON and shifter is in Drive or Reverse. Ended up going to another shop/tuner to fix my idle issue and have a better remap not a loony toon remap.

Sus bro learn daily inspect your own car, nag kaka delay yan minsan sa mga injector, sensor, spark plug , throttle body cleaning. Habang tumatagal pag me pag babago meaning to say me mga sensor ng bumababa na ang reading so me mga hindi na match na throw ng command. Usually mga set up na ganyan mas tataas pa ang consumption ng gas. Or of course kong makita nila na nahinaan kana pag na balance nila ulit ang mga combination,natural lang na masasabi mo me nag bago 😂. Gagastos kalang. Sundan lang ang mga maintinance ng sasakyan in every kilometer servicing at mga required na palitan. Try to invest in your own car scanner ng makita din natin ang mga difference Kong bakit me pag bago ng andar.

An indirect ratio doesn't mean delay. Delay is when you step on the pedal 10% and you get nothing. After it sits and thinks about it for a while, sometimes a long while, then it responds sometime later, regardless of the ratio. Driving a carbureted car the throttle is not only 1:1 it is instant.

Does my 2005 Toyota Avensis 1.8 VVTi petrol have an electronic throttle? I’ve noticed since I’ve had it, that when I press the accelerator, there is a slight delay from me pressing the pedal, to when the revs actually rise

hello po, napunta po ako dito, i have ford fiesta had it checked sa 2 different casas having it full service with the concern that sometimes that happens once in a while when i press the gas pedal while driving on the road hindi nag accelerate or worth biglang nag slowdown not picking up the speed. I had to press the pedal a lot of times para maandar ako, the engine is still on. Both of the casas said its fine, na change na fuel filter, air filter spark plugs.... sabi nila wala naman silang nakikitang issue pero nung pag kuha ko sabi lang parang may delay. per inexplain ko un na minsan sa minsan nangyayari talaga sya na tumitigil or nag stall. can i ask advice po?

Got 2000 celica gt 5 speed soon as I shift to 2nd then get on it the rpm flutters but once it goes 3000 rpm it’s good got any idea maybe dirty throttle bottle because I changed spark plugs and ignition coils but still same problem any advice thx

My 2014 jeep grand cherokee sucks when stepping on the Pedal the Delay and Response is too slow i need change it and then they said i need new sparkplugs!!!

Yes both can be remapped for more power The Innova will match and exceed the Hilux, the old 3.0 can get close to the 2.8

My 2007 Dodge Charger with the 3.5L high output V6 has a serious throttle delay and I have to fix it some how. I'm not looking to make her a sports car but I do need to make sure she can GTFO of her own way should I need to hammer that throttle with purpose. I noticed this issue when hitting the gas when in park after I bought the car. It would take a few seconds(what it felt like anyway) for the throttle to respond and when letting my foot off the peddle it would take seconds for the the engine idle to slowly come back down to parked idle speed. I'm like WTF?

No. All a throttle controller does is - Commands more throttle percentage for the same input, i.e push the throttle pedal 10%, the controller commands say 80%. It just amplifies the signal. This is what gives you more "Throttle response". The throttle opens faster because the controller is commanding more output for the same travel on the pedal.

when you immediately go to full throttle, it will not go to top speed mmediately, because it is a car not alarm clock, need to hold on the full throttle in order to reach the top speed

ETC works pero parang kailangan din na itune yung transmission, kasi onting apak pa lang downshift na agad. so instead na naka POWER MODE 9 ako POWER MODE 3 lang. the fuel consumption also goes up, from 11KM/L highway 9KM/L nalang. 3.2 MONTERO

Sir, I have a Montero 09 model diesel, Kahit anung apak at sagad ko sa gas pedal ang rpm nya is between 10k and below 20k rpm.. no acceleration and check engine is lit. Saan kaya sir ang problem? Hope you can help. God bless.

Bought a throttle commander, I don't want more power just predictable clutch control. Like holding on the clutch at the light on a hill. response time is still slow and more unpredictable.

@@saintplay66 thinking about timing chain. 70k . Did new plugs and coils Other than that not really. Getting more used to it's as is condition, it's just a really inefficient way of getting about.
