Great review. I’ve owned a 2021 Camry Hybrid LE for 8 months (15K miles ). The hybrid has averaged about 48 MPG per tank. Many trips have been 52 MPG when the temps are above 70. The power from the engine is really nice. Does not feel like you are being punished for driving the hybrid. My drive to work is 85 miles round trip on the interstate in rush hour traffic. Very pleased with it.

Awesome vehicle Awesome gas mileage up to 46mpg highway driving from Maryland to Louisiana in August with AC blasting and keeping up with 70mph plus interstate driving. Back in 2007 the Toyota Camry Hybrid cane standard with XLE package yet didn't have any trim level options other than leather seats heated seats heated mirrors moonroof and navigation. Mine was a 2.4 liter paired with Hybrid Synergy Drive with total of approximately 191hp

My 2015 Avalon limited hybrid with 260000 miles on it, still gets a real world 36mpg and that’s with no attempt at economy. I drive normal and also can drive 500 miles at least on a tank! Sometimes I do get 39 to 41 mpg if I drive all day in the city. They are just such a better car for comfort than the camry, Corolla, Prius, rav4(although those other models are nice and economic.)Go with a used 2015-2022 Avalon hybrid or Lexus 300h. I’m a huge Toyota fan so any hybrid by Toyota is pretty good. If you don’t have much back problems and just need a car to commute, I would go with the cheapest camry/Corolla hybrid you can find. But I can’t deny my Avalon rides heavy and elegant compared to the other Toyotas.

I like his logic for mpg test, that's just pretty much what we can already read from documentation doing it with cruise on, I get significantly better mileage with my cruise control off than I do with it on because cruise control mandates a specific speed rather than allowing you to drive for traffic and terrain like he mentions with the unadapitve adaptive cruise control.

I have a 2016 Camry Hybrid which I absolutely love. if I do nice perfect conditions similar to yours also depends on elevation I am around 5k elevation so not exactly MSL(Mean Sea Level) so its not going to be as good. I average around Reno doing more steady travel Perhaps 40 to 43 MPG. In Carson City, where there are much more quicker stops and goes under no A/C just driving I average 38 to 43 depending on how I am driving conditions and all. When I run the A/C seems better in normal mode I am doing around 31 to 34 MPG. A/C really eats up the electricity when its pretty much running close to full blast when its 100 degrees outside. Tank size on my hybrid is: 17 gallon tank. Compensating a reduction of 2.5 gallons to protect the fuel pump. I never want to run it down completely empty. I have fueled 14.5 gallons give or take on a couple occasions. That is with my fuel range left after going down below 1 just comes up and says, "Please Refuel" showing that it's not really completely empty and the system is doing this in order to save me a 700 dollar fuel pump replacement charge. I don't get why they keep reducing t he size of the fuel tank on the Camry? I don't buy the fuel economy excuse. 13.5 gallon tank I think you said, on the 2022 is getting small, not to mention you are also or should be deducting a good 2.5 gallons give or take to protect the fuel pump. They really are killing the range. I did do a lot of fun traveling around the HWY's when I 1st got my Camry and best ever millage before refueling which was making me nervous I had 603 Miles traveled. I bet if I was at MSL I'd have done even better, but how many people really do drive in close to perfect conditions where you're not running A/C or heater and dealing with traffic or other conditions which life brings toward many of us? Sorry, for the long story!

Cool story 🙂My Camry hybrid is a little newer, 22 model year, and mine with AC blasting eats up the electricity. On very hot summer days, when the cabin is like an oven and the AC is struggling to cool it down, my car's consumption increases also. Some write in comments or forums, that AC doesn't affect consumption 🤷‍♂ Just can't believe that.

Daily Motor's driver (driver in the video) averaged 5.2 l/100 doing speedo indicated 118 km/h (a bit lower according to GPS but who cares, we look at the speedo, don't we?). So your 5.5 l/100 km doing let's say 105 km/h on average is indeed basically the same, but only basically. The hybrid, no matter how we twist it, averages less ( - 0.3) at a higher speed ( + 13). 45 mpg on a nice day on the Highway on level terrain rather good. However, Hilly and Mountainous area, foul weather watch MPG drop to possibly 30 to 35 mpg because other drivers will drive at different speeds, being in your way, unable to maintain mph, altering your speed as it will not be constant. Presently, I am breaking in my new 2023 Camry XSE V6, for the first 100 odometer miles was averaging 12.11mpg, now nearing 300 odometer miles getting 17mpg. That is driving 80 percent City and 20 Highway. From my experience the Rated MPG on the Window Sticker is overrated or a lie since your are likely to get less mpg. example: 22mpg city/33mpg highway or average 27mpg that in reality you will get an average of 24mpg. Then when winter arrives and have ethanol additive could be averaging as low as 20mpg. Just think, in the beginning week I was getting 12.11mpg so a full 15.8 gallon tank would take me 191 miles. Now at 17mpg x 15.8 tank = 268.6 mpg. Someone had done a KZread video on a 2022 Camry XSE V6 and they got 26mpg meaning it is possible to travel 410 miles on one tank of petrol during summer time.

This doesn't make any sense. 2023 Camry LE 39 mpg highway, 2023 Camry LE Hybrid 53 mpg. What is going on here? They both have essentially the same 4 cylinder ICE. Shouldn't they be almost the same on the highway? Why is this happening?

True, there could be inaccuracies in the tests. However, hybrids can still have a small advantage in highway driving by saving electricity on downhills and using it for uphills.

I just rented a NON-hybrid Camry in Twin Falls, ID to return to Knoxville. The mileage gauge stayed buried "solid blue" at its maximum 40 mpg the WHOLE WAY, as long as I drove below 78 mph and above 50. Only in those very highest grades of I-70 from Rifle, CO to Denver did it register in the 30s or even briefly upper 20s. Here's a tractor -trailer video of the road with cars passing him. kzread.info/dash/bejne/maB4u8mKnLPLd6g.html

I love the exterior of the NX FSport. It is very shiny and luxury looking but I hate the interior color options. Red or black? I prefer the walnut interior. It looks so luxurious! But that's only available in the regular lexus and not the f sport. Which sucks.
