The 2022 Toyota Camry may just be a facelift, but it's clearly presenting itself as a very different animal. No longer the reserve of over-40 management-types looking for something uninteresting and inoffensive, the 8th-generation Camry facelift offers more character and charm than we've seen from this nameplate in a long time.
Now with a more powerful and efficient Dynamic Force 2.5-litre paired to an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox, plus a raft of updates to the exterior, interior and safety systems, the Toyota Camry has finally put its best foot forward.

Not that we know of. And not that anyone will hit it on public roads.

If this was a hybrid it would sell Iike hot cakes. In Singapore, we have the hybrid which comes with ventilated seat but it lacks the jbl speakers, the factory head unit and the rear seat controls. It comes with a cheapo looking 2 din head unit. The previous gen have the good bits but now no more which sucks. All these cheap bits makes a good car less attractive
We Malaysian like to complain, now Toyota have a fully loaded car will they still buy? Next they will take and compare a Camry to a BMW or Mercedes. Neverending 😅😅😅

The Toyota Camry has been the #1 D-segment saloon since its introduction in 2017. This update will likely see it stay there. They also benchmarked premium compact saloons from German marques as part of this update, so the comparison is reasonable.

U cant compare to merc or bmw bro. U want top end merc/bmw comfort need to opt for S Class/7 Series.. and the price different fromthis camry 🤣😂😅. Dont expect 3 Series/C Class to compete with the 2022 Camry in term of comfortable 👌🏿.. that is why camry are called poor man Mercedes 👌🏿.
