2023 Toyota Camry Facelift Review in Malaysia, Here Today, Gone Tomorrow? | WapCar
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The 2023 Toyota Camry facelift needs no introduction. In fact, the entire Camry name needs no introduction. For over 40 years, it has been and continues to be one of the default choices for buyers looking at a large, comfortable D-segment sedan.
Looking for an executive mobile or a family cruiser? The Toyota Camry plays that role to a tee. However, because of its safe nature, the Camry has become a victim of its own success in that it’s widely regarded as an Uncle’s car.
But with the facelift version sporting a new drivetrain and sitting on that fantastic TNGA platform, can it finally shed its staid image? And more importantly, can the Camry still remain relevant in this age of SUVs or are we likely seeing it in its final outing. Join Greg to find out.

Camry is a good car, no doubt about it. The only disappointment is the current pricing in Malaysia and lack of hybrid variant.
oh my god I'm absolutely love the current generation camry especially in this facelift it looks so timeless 🤤🥰😍
this is very well presented. I appreciate how Greg explains the philosophy of 'reliability', 'stability', and 'honesty' behind the Camry - those who appreciates it buys it. Those who don't, call it a boring, 'uncle' car.
Our family still holds on to a XV30 Camry since new, and now with over 460,000+km. Its showing wear and tear at places, but it always has been the family runabout and workhorse.

At 82yrso, I just bought my last Camry. A 2023 Camry SE. My first was 1998. I will leave it to my son ! I just returned from a 1200 mile trip and got 40 mpg. It has lots of electronics that I am not interested in. It gets me from point A to point B.

Nice to hear that from you. Hope you have multiple blessed years ahead of you.
Yes that is what I thought too. My dad has the XV40 (2.4V) version and since young I always wanted a camry when I can afford it. When I can finally afford a second hand XV50 (2.5V), I was trully mesmerised by the comfort it does look boxy like what you mentioned. Hence I decided to trade in and get the facelifted XV70. Issue with this XV70 that I face now is the wind noise coming from my driver side. I have brought this issue up to Toyota and they mentioned that it is due to wind turbulence since the shape of the camry is designed aerodynamically hence it cuts through wind. I was quote dissapointed as I tested some test drive unit however they do not have this sound. Some members of the camry forums are also experiencing this issue but it is sad to see that till now there is still no solution. Toyota has reverted stating that they have soundproof my side mirros as well as changed my window seal but the sound is still there. Recenly my side mirror's camera also spoilt and I needed to wait for a month plus in order to get a replacement. Overall, the experience hasn't been great for me owning this new camry unfortunately. The only plus side is the design and it drives better now.
You can never go wrong with a Camry👍👍👍
TNGA + DFE Toyota most breakthrough innovation of the recent years..
Amazing story delivery
The only Camry is not relevant is the price. It's more than 200k and people have more options in the car market today than previously. That's why the accord has stopped in Malaysia
This is the first Camry that I like and would like to own
If XV70 is good enough for PMX, it’s good enough for us as well. Try the XV50 Hybrid. It’s a nice car to rempit.
I daily a xv40 2.4v just clocked 100k on odo. Just upgraded the infotainment and fixed the sticky dash. Looking to sell but looking at the used car market i just continue daily it also can lah.
Please do the video like this to the toyota corolla. So pity for it to be overshadowed by honda civic since every single Malaysian was living by it long time ago.
I have 1 at home up until few years ago super low mileage 2007 camry with 40 50k on odo. Drive 5-10 km everyday tapao food only
Does it have ventilated seats for front passenger and driver?
Drive this model Penang - Subang 3hrs.
This guy is wayyy better than adrian
Why the no-comment on the xv30 ah?
pre facelift owner here be like 😇

you'd hardly find anyone that really talks about cars. rather it's all praises and what not. well pointed out.
Still an uncle car ~ kinda of trimmed Charles Branson type, the older it get, the smarter and suede it is.
The 9.5 seconds 0-100 is disappointing. Civic does it in 8.4.

It doesnt matter but when both are in fast, you will appreciate camry even more than a civic. The stability, comfort, and quietness is far better than an Accord. I said Accord not a civic.
But Madonna is no longer in vogue or in style today 😂
college kid naik camry? wow
