Lol gotta love needing to buy an exhaust because social media talked you into removing "fake" exhaust noise....its.not fake its pumped in by the way....smh lol. Welcome to 2023 where people create problems than spend money fixing the problem they made up

@@ftr911drvr nah man, its completely electric on these cars, there is no microphone or vaccum symposer. it sounds like gran turismo 2 engine noises totally artificial. unplugging the module is the way to go even without an exhaust.

I cant imagine replacing one fake noise inside with an obnoxious noise outside. I would imagine it would get old quick for anyone over 30.

@@gs98999 the fake noise in my car resonates in the midrange and makes the dashboard buzz. Really annoying and I’m considering an exhaust because of it

had headphones when the videos started and BROTHERRR that was the most tastiest exhaust sound ever

on 1st Gen BRZ I had Borla axle-back, FT86 UEL Catted Header, & OFT 93oct tune. Car was perfect for me. Loud enough but nothing crazy. This is the type of exhaust I'll be getting for my Gen 2

Just purchased one of these after installing a Corsa catback on my GR86. The pops are as loud as gunshots, and happen every single time I downshift with the Corsa. It isn’t enjoyable to drive worrying about that. Excited to get this axle back installed, and thanks for the 10% off!

any thought to adding a catted UEL header? I'm thinking it might be the perfect setup for these cars...

Nice upgrade. Please do k&n intake with the box next to get the induction note on par with the exhaust, especially if you are gonna go louder than now. @Stratifiedauto youtube channel has a video on testing this intake. He had only good things to say about the intake. No heat soaking, more power and cool sounds.

MRT's site says "minimal drone". You didn't hear any?

Ordered, thanks for the review and discount! This is after i bought a DC sports axle back for the first gen like an idiot thinking it would fit... it did not. Apparently most 1st gen cat backs do fit perfectly but not axle backs.

A nicer sounding exhaust than the other one you had, just the other day I think it was! How have these types of systems been affecting Fuel Consumption (maybe I’m asking too early)?

Very happy with this muffled axle-back! You might see a small improvement in mpg/power with a cat-back exhaust, but any gains here are probably negligible.

Just got mine installed yesterday. It's definitely louder than I thought it would be after watching this video. Still, it's by no means obnoxious, and there's minimal drone, only when under load at low RPMs. You can actually hear the *pop* on downshift, which is lots of fun. Apparently it's also ~10lbs lighter than the factory axle back. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

@@justinguerrero6357 Yeah this video does not effectively convey how loud the exhaust actually is. It's not obnoxiously loud, but I expected it to be maybe 15% louder than stock. Was a little bit surprised to realize it's probably ~30% louder than stock. I unplugged the fake engine noise a while ago, and the MRT Sport Touring axleback brought the overall noise level to about the same level as when the fake engine noise speaker was plugged in. It's a much deeper and more organic sound, however.

Are you also getting some drone around 2000-3000rpm under load? Other than that this exhaust sounds great.

Wow this actually sounds like what I want with my BRZ. I also saw Zygrene AWE touring and I wasn't sure if he still had the fake engine sound still on but sounded loud and drony. Have a sensitive ear so do hate rattles, drowning, vibrations and annoying rasps for full attention.

I've never disabled the fake engine sound in my BRZ. It does sound very synthetic but it helps me hear the engine on track while I'm wearing a helmet.

Ahh make sense. Though wondering if this is loud enough on track with helmet on Chris? lol. Such a fine line. I was with ividia q300 and tomei’s quietest exhaust which was perfect for the 2013 brz on track. I think my days with Greddy exhaust on s2000 is over haha.

how would you compare this to the corsa system you had previously? I'm interested in both

Corsa is definitely louder with a gnarley cold start. This is a lot quieter in all respects, with just a slightly more aggressive tone than stock. Corsa is too loud with a header imo, this would he just about perfect.

I’m actually surprised this doesn’t have more comments then it has. I have commented before but let me explain. What he is saying in this review is super accurate. There is literally no drone. My friend was outside my car and I asked him , how did it sound. He said it sounded perfect. Not too loud. Not too crazy. I woukd say this exhaust sounds so good and non droney you want more , my advice is wait for headers pair it with this exhaust. And you’re golden baby.

Can you drive a 2011 Honda CR-V

Need intake sound. Exhaust is crap for 4 cyl car. Intake is what makes more n/a engines sound special and gives that high pitch ringing noise at high rpms.
