2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Re-Born - Confessions Of An Enfield Owner!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Just thought that I'd give my thoughts on the ownership of this new 2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Re-Born. How it handles daily use plus the odd bit of off-road work too.

The final 5 minutes featuring the hill climb is the best advertising for demonstrating the capabilities, the philosophy and the sheer pleasure of the Royal Enfield 350. It certainly beats any 350 review I have watched on KZread and miles ahead of their own online advertising. Well done Warro, you have captured the heart and soul of the machine. 👍👍👍

thanks. good to hear you enjoyed it. one day i will go back and record that climb from start to end. i did a few cuts on that clip. i must admit it's one hell of a climb for what one would call just a 20 hp road bike. especially that last couple of hundred metres to the top. that was an extremely steep run! never been to that place before. had a lot of rain in the area so never did a return ride but next time i will bring along the drone to get some air footage on where i am riding and how remote it is. all the best for 2023 and thanks again for the kind comments.

Great to hear! yeah my two latest clips on buying a 500 will have you thinking the 350 reborn is easily the best way to go. i was out on it today and i am almost on the 5000 klm mark and its running extremely well. if you want a trouble free bike -buy the 350 reborn. if you want to fix a bike go the classic 500. my joke on the classic when i bought them home they were the only new bike one could buy and start fixing them from day one....lol except it wasn't a joke...lol

Warro, I really enjoy all of your Classic 350 videos. So much that I'm really considering adding a Signals Marsh Grey model to my garage. I can't think of a good reason to justify the purchase but it would look damn good next to my Ural Gear Up and it would be right at home on all of the country back roads near me.

all sounds good to me except i'd go halcyon grey...lol but my view doesnt count cause i can swith sides...lol i can see why you'd like a colour match with the ural. these are pretty good bikes. i think i covered it pretty well apart from the mention-side covers are plastic but i did say 95% bike is metal so we allow 5% for rubber/plastic and glass...lol only real issue ive had is a stuck speedo on the halcyon grey but believe me this bike is far far ahead of being problem free compared to my 500 days. just bought a yamaha mt-03 and first clip told them what i dont like and then what i do. to sum up if this bike was no good - it would have been on gumtree or bikesales withing the first week of ownership...many have. the halcyon grey is nearing one year ownship and still here...lol so that must say a bit. if there no good i dont want them. no use settling for something you want positive thoughts. buy the 350 signals -it will do just that. not too keen on the black motor but had no choice there

Keep the vids coming take care, Chris uk.

there is no shortage of ride areas thats for sure. from more open plains to very hilly country like in the clip. all within 30 minutes from the take off from home. that 750 was the first of the twin disc models in that metalic blue colour and stripes. it was a pretty smooth riding bike too -not quick but cruised pretty well. first weekend i took it away with a gyuy on the back he actually fell asleep and his sleeping bag fell into the back wheel and locked it up. it was 6am in the morning and i was doing roughly 55 mph when it happened. wheel totally locked and wore the new rear tyre to the canvas in seconds. lucky no cars on the road either or it may have been not too good for us. i also had a kawasaki 350 tripple and a yamaha rd125 twin. would have preferred the 350 rd...lol

i had a xt250 myself about 4 years back...a blue one. it will run dirt pretty good for a road bike and the stock tyres appear to like it. where you see me in that clip of that really rough hill climb i sort of wouldn't recommend that sort of thing. i was on a fairly punishing 4wd track chasing a bit of footage but the bike is really to nice to doi that sort of things to it. one thing i'd recommend for the dirt -remove back shocks and like i mentioned in my clip slip in a set off the 500. pretty cheap used. makes a fair bit of difference never toughed the front suspension oil wise. thats an option too. many a 500 i had when i pulled the forks had either too much oil one sideand low the other or loww in both. not sure if they have improved with these or not. i'd say it depends up if the guy at the facture can see or read the measure...lol over-all great bike for dirt and sealed but not sure about trails.

Hello Warro ! I really liked your video and thank you! I once saw a Royal Enfield Classic... I wouldn't know if it was a 500 or a 350... I didn't know the RE brand at all. I didn't even have a motorcycle driver's license. I immediately fell in love and I looked to buy one. I found a dealer not too far from my house and bought my first motorcycle. A new Royal Enfield 350. Unfortunately, I hadn't paid attention to one detail; I need a motorcycle driving license to be able to receive mine, the one I bought. But I didn't. No big deal, I went to register for the motorcycle driving license training while my motorcycle was still waiting for me at the dealership. I count the days that I have to wait to be able to pick up my jewelry. just the last exam to pass and it will be good. I'm sure this is my dream bike! I spend a lot of time watching videos about him (it's the first time I've commented on one by the way) It allows me to dream while waiting to be able to get mine. I am not at all passionate about speed but about cruising. Thank you for your video Greetings from France.

thanks, my bet is if they every increase the size of the "J " motor to 500cc - i'd jump ship and go in that direction as the 350 is a great package. i plan to do a 10 or 15 part series on all aspects of owning a classic 500 and trouble shooting problems too all this will depend upon how many subs i pick up to make the series worthwhile as its a fair bit of work covering all enfield 500's from 2009 to 2020 lucky i had 15 of them so i have that side covered. back to that BSA 650 -buyers will have to be thick skinned to own one. all the purists will knock it for that factory fitted $10 radiator from wallmart/bunnings and the spare parts bin exhaust. the classic 350 re-born may be down on power but not on the looks...lol its a 10/10

Another great video Warro. You have some really nice roads around there. How do you rate the 350 classic against the Himalayan ? I think I have reached the time in life I want to slow down and enjoy the back roads like you. Just wondering which bike to choose.

well the himalayan would out do the classic 350 reborn on the dirt but my kawasaki klx150 would out do both of them easily on the dirt and trail ...lol but both would outdo the KLX on the sealed stuff. but i gotta tell it how i see it and thats how it is...lol if you asked im going to ride 80% sealed and 20% dirt roads like in clip-NOT THE 4WD TRACK PARTS- i'd say grab the 350 re-born and put 500 classic shocks on the back and go for it. plus further on you'll get the chance to look back and think...warro was right.....that bike is a good look'in set of wheels. unfortunately i never thought that about the himalayan but i dont think that much about the KLX150 either. those are more just dirt type bikes. but i dont mind going to the back window and looking out at the glorious 350 reborn profile...lol

Great bit of off roading. While spoke wheels look nice, they become a bit of a hassel when repairing punctured tubes, especially while out and about. How do you cope ? I have a Meteor 350 Fireball with those "gastly" alloy wheels. I purchased teflon -coated, phillips puncture repair screws. Have used them twice and both tires are still holding air. I agree with your opinion re BSA radiator. I'm sure an oil cooler would have sufficed. Have you considered switching to an adventure type of tire ?

both my new yamaha the xmax300 and the mt-03 both have blue alloys...lol i think they have their advantages being tubless but i just like spoke wheels...lol i did get a flat once on a enfield b5 and had to get the daughter to bring the van and haul it home. never had a mobile that day and a farmer was doing fencing and lent me his carry one now. but not always in range. i mainly ride sealed but i did go off dirt road style a few times on the 350 just to see how it would go. the trouble was it went well so i went back again which was surprising. back in 2018 i bought the new honda crf250 rally. thought this is great and headed to a sandy dirt road around here. once on i lasted roughly 400 metes and the bike was moving around that much i thought...this is not good...lol so i stopped and got off -turned it around and rode slowly back to the sealed stuff once home put it straight up for sale on gumtree with 80 klm on the clock and said no more dirt roads for me...lol

you will get a slight bit more vibration thats for sure but not agressive. some-one told me to install rubber washers to isolate it but never got around to doing it. the vibes are far more noticable if say on a classic 500 or drz400e suzuki. i noticed them immediately on those two. if you dont plan to run it on dirt i'd say forget it but say in this clip where i was on the bad 4wd track-i t took a real bad hit underneath so glad i had it on. heres a link to ebay -eBay item number:195132909901

Holy Crap Brother you had me fallin' outta my chair laughing when you tore into the new Beezer. And I agree with you 100%. It is absolutely the worst execution of design I've seen in many a year. Mahindra is just trying to jump on the Enfield train and make a splash. But I don't know who would actually buy that thing. Now we know the Gold Star was the king of bikes in it's time, an absolute speed demon, but to do that with today's singles the only way to get the power is to go liquid cooled. And the bike does look great until you have a look around front. I could never be proud to own one lookin' like that. I'm just happy to have my Classic and still keeping my fingers crossed we see a J-Series 500 in the near future.

  • @ridewithwarro

    @ridewithwarro

very few know this but i will spill the beans. i heard this is the BSA -T model. what the designer did was put together what they thought was the ideal old school style bike. great job one of the designer was actually a car guy. he helped design many great cars-like the Leyland P76 - Morris Marina and this new rocket -the BSA 650-T He had failed on both those bits of junk and other Leyland cars and was turfed when the factory folded. Mahindra got this guy pretty cheap ...almost for rupees! he wasn't qualified to work on bike design so in fairness he was given the chore of sourcing out a period style radiator. not to be outdone by the other designers he channel his thoughts to great cars from the past. the ford T model was alwas his holly grail. so he got onto a used T model radiator for $9.50 unable to source new stock. he modified that with a 4" angle grinder cut to fit. splashed a bit of black stove paint on it and grabbed 2 brackets from Supercheap Autos to do the fitting. Then Bunning/wallmart came to the rescue and supplied the plumping hoses from the garden section. job complete. thats what i've been told........maybe true or a true story told by a liar.....lol i don't know i'm only telling. say 2 years time buyers will be looking in the BSA accessory dept and see the optional Deluxe radiator for a mere $3000 they don't know i am suppling the radiators nos from a 750 gt suzuki. when they were discontinued 50 years ago i bought 6000 units. i thought theres an opportunity here should BSA make a 650 single in 2020. I'd say i will make a big heap of money selling those to 95% of the BSA 650 buyers. therefore it will be the BSA 650 -S S not standing for sports but suzuki. well you might say...what about the other 5% of the buyers are they happy? i think so. most days those poor guys parked next to classic 350 reborn. just like my clip they too are vain and looked back with a big smile on their dial. they'll be happy and content and full of joy. but there's a problem! there always is! i forgot to mention that the 5% happy were unfortunately slightly cross-eye.in error they had been looking at the Classic 350 reborn and in doing so were 95% off their intended target. so you might think i don't like the bike or should i say the BSA 650 -T...not the case its a great single. what i am saying is if you are unfortunate enough to buy one -never ever park next to a classic 350 reborn it will ruin your day and give you false sense of hope! I also bought complete exhaust sets from the 750gt too full chrome..good stuff. i will modify those and split them into 3 and there another money spinner for the BSA buyer - a chrome exhaust. how lucky i am BSA made this bike and i supply the accessories....lol
