Thanks, Peter. Great video! Please put a DO NOT DISTURB sign on that door 😂

There are videos where I do that, but for some of these, I don't want to impede business. The studio that we use is a shortcut from the offices to the shop, so sometimes people will walk through.

@@BrantfordKia it is funny, people open the door and poke their head in. Some of the faces are priceless! Makes good material for bloopers. Great channel! Keep up the good work!
Thank you Peter. Waiting on the hybrid with digital dash. The rear turn signals are a concern and No HUD but not a deal breaker by any means. Do any trims have remote start?
@BrantfordKia

Yes, this car with Blue Link has remote start from the cell phone, or key fob. I believe most trims have the ability to remote start from the key fob.
Help me Obi Wan, you’re my only hope! I just bought a 22 Tucson SEL (oval instruments not round). When I lock my doors with the remote my horn doesn’t honk/beep. There’s no way to turn it on in the instrument panel or holding lock and unlock on my remote for seven seconds. Did they do away with this option? Mine does have push start and remote start. Thank You
Very cool!

Yeah, I like this vehicle.
Thanks Peter. What trim level is this ? Canadian MSRP?
@BrantfordKia

This is the Preferred Trend. You'll have to check the Hyundai website for up to date MSRP, but I believe it is around $34,000 before freight.
I have a 2019 and I can see they make a lot of improvement, I have to wait until 2024 before seriously thinking about a new one... The keyfob remote start is a big improvement, using bluelink for it is very very slow and because of the two password very annoying.

The two password situation has been improved on my iPhone by using Face ID. The communication between the car and phone is still a little delayed though, so the key fob remote start is definitely nice to have.
This is a nice vehicle!

Yeah, I really like it!
Hi Peter, want to know which drive mode is best for highways? Eco, Normal or Sport? In 2022 model. Nees to travel 2400 km within the speed limit of 140 km........ What you suggest? What mode should i use for this journey?
@BrantfordKia

That's a bit of a complicated answer. The drive nodes themselves don't really help get you better fuel efficiency as much as they work with your driving style. So, for example, if you drive efficiently in Sport mode and in Eco mode, the Eco mode will give you better efficiency. But if you drive aggressively in Sport mode and Eco mode, you'll find that the car drives much better in sports mode and you can end up burning more fuel in Eco mode (theoretically). For most people, I recommend smart mode for most driving as that will balance performance and always try to get you good fuel efficiency if you're not driving aggressively. I find Sport mode can be useful for many driving situations. Going up a long hill with lots of stop lights, Sport mode keeps the car in the revs and drives better. Towing can also be assisted by Sport mode at times. But for overall efficiency, have a light right foot and keep it in Eco or Smart.
Where are the interior door locks? What if a rear passenger wants to get out of the car, they just pull the handle twice like in BMWs? Or does someone up front have to unlock the doors for them?
@BrantfordKia

Yes, they just pull the handle twice.
Do you know if there are plans for a full EV version?
@BrantfordKia
3 жыл бұрын
It looks like the next full EV's from Kia and Hyundai will be based on a platform that only supports EV's. So I don't expect the Tucson to come in a full EV. Nothing that I've read says that the platform was built for that capability.

Correction. I recently read that the new Santa Cruz, (which is based on the Tucson platform) is capable of being a full EV platform as well, but there are no plans to do that at this point.

@@BrantfordKia well that’s good news. Potentially.
How many Gallon gas tank does Hyundai Tucson SEL have? Hey Peter from the States!

The best place to see those specs are on the Hyundai website. I don't have that information memorized right now.

It does in SEL Premium or higher trim, its very nice seen it in person and despite having no shield doesn't suffer from glare at all.
@BrantfordKia

Not on this trim level. I'll show the higher trim vehicles as they become available.
IMO they messed up with the fuel and coolant gauges. Since the fuel is on the left, the fuel gauge should be too, and coolant temperature is more relevant to RPMs anyway since usually you want to be chill with the RPMs until the engine is warm. Hyundai forgot to consult me first.

Maybe... The face and rear are definitely unique, and in person, this is definitely bigger. I don't think anybody will mix them up if they're parked near each other.
