Everyone should understand that the 2021 Supra has drastically more Horsepower and even Torque than the 2020 model. The torque in the 2021 model doesn’t fall off after 5,000 rpms like the 2020 model does. The 2021 Supra has over 40 more pound feet high in the rev range over the 2020 model. Also the lower compression ratio makes the 2021 model MUCH EASIER to modify for high boost. You have to change out the pistons or the heads of a 2020 model in order to equal the 2021 model. Toyota has really screwed over the 2020 customers especially the ones that paid over sticker. No one will want a 2020 Supra once they realize how much more tunable the 2021 model is.

Still cant Change The fact that Hector is gonna be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. On top of that, he just came into Harry'sm and ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and a Motec system exhaust.

Because the GT86 is meant to be the spirtual successor to the AE86. Let alone an entry level sports car. The Supra 2.0 does make a great successor to the 3.0L NA I6 the MKIV had. So far, it has more potential, as with the upgraded powertrain does.

I hear you on that. Not having a manual in this Supra or the C8 really stings. One of the reasons why we just bought a Honda Civic Type R as our second car is because of that sublime manual that really wakes up the driving experience. I understand a manual does not shift as quickly as a DCT but driving is not always about how fast you are going but about how you feel when you are going fast. A manual should have been an option. For this reason the Nissan 370 NISMO still looks very tempting to me with its 6 speed manual.

That splitter makes it look so much better. But it should get a A80 Airplane wing

In the past, Supras were build on chassis from Toyota's business (Chaiser, Mark, Cressida, Aristo) sedans and had engines from them in order to showcase brand's power and pride. The only thing new Supra showcases - Toyotas greasiness and shame. V35A-FTS could easily be factory tunned to have around 500hp without sacrificing reliability, only fuel economy and remissions. This engine already have proven itself be reliable, despite it's complex modern design. It can make 600hp with simple ECU tune, which already exists. And Toyota's open deck, with cast iron sleeves designes are really strong, there are even 1000hp builds based on Toyota's i4 2AR-FE blocks. And cooling along with crankshaft strength is better in V engines. It would be one hell of a Supra on TNGA-N platform from new Crown, it would have front mid engine layout, just like the Crown does. They also could tune Aisin 10 speed for more sporty behaviour.. And no one would care about it having v6 instead of i6 as no one cares that original R32 GTR had RB i6 were is modern once have v6es. I am really glead that this Supra has very bad sales and i hope that new Nissan Z will put final nail in the coffin of this abomination. If you like BMW then buy BMW. There is Japanese car pride and history. Technology and engineering wise Japanese have been among leaders since 1980s Back than their metallurgy technology was far superior than that in other countries and only they could build long stroke engines that were high revving, due to mass production of light and strong crankshafts. They were smooth, economical and powerful even before ECUs. That's how they concarade the world. Then they showed how injection, variable valve timing, active awd systems and turbocharging is done properly and reliably. They were also first to implement these technologies in mass production of affordable vehicles. And they always use high quality materials and components for their engines and transitions along with proper, reliability conscious injenering. And no Toyota has ashamed itself and betrayed Toyota fans and japanise car fans in general. Shame.

This would be amazing if: 1. It didn't use bmw parts and was all toyota 2. It had a wing like the mk4 3. It had a 2jz

Doesn't need a wing since it's noting like the mk4(just like the other supras they have noting in common to their predecessors or successors)nor does it need a 2j(since every gen had it's own variety of engines)

(if you know/are capable to use those techniques in the first place, of course). for casuals an automatic sure is "fun" and equaly as fast I guess.

There are techniques and feel that you'll miss going auto, I know because i decided to go auto on my C7 for 4 years, all my previous cars manuals...was good for 3 months...then i got comfortable to push the car using more driving techniques and i was dismayed at the auto. The auto took all the joy away...sucked. Flappy paddles are not a manual...I was in the market for the supra in 2020 and did not buy one due to no manual.

I'm not mad, it looks like a car that could be fun to drive. But MKIV was all about that 2JZ. Would've been so cool if they had introduced another JZ. I'm just a peasant I wouldn't know how much RnD is required for that.

No - this thing needs Toyota parts - particularly the engine and drivetrain.

Should advertise it on the Bmw channel.

Even tho the MK5 Supra is a rebadged Z4, I love it. Now I can afford a Supra😅

@@josephkan8253 mclaren used just a bmw engine, toyota used the chassis,engine and interior of a bmw... So it is a bmw and a copy made great because of bmw. It is a great car btw.

A lot of people are calling this a BMW, but you guys have to understand that even if it has BMW style parts, the engineers of Toyota specifically had it remastered and tuned to fit the Supra. So it’s still technically is a Toyota.

I'm waiting for the M competition package
