    Great Review. I love my 1st Gen Xpedite and have killed 2 nice deer with it. I too am a 28.5” draw and my bow shoots my 430 grain arrow 304 fps at 80% let off with the comfort mods. Great review. Just picked this bow up. I also heard you could upgrade the yoke system like PSE put on the EVO EVL, can you do a video on switching that out some time on the Xpedite NXT which would most likely assist with tuning and cam lean much easier than shimming? Maybe a video to go over that would be great!!!

    I'm still shooting my original 2021 Xpedite. You're dead right, the shorter draw length guys like me (26.5inch) are well served with the Xpedite. In fact I'm shooting the more aggressive moduled with a 525g arrow and it's still plenty fast enough. Think I'll look at the 2021 NXT. Nice useful and concise video as always.

    Just so you know, you can put the speed mod on it and turn it down 5-7 Lb. and still have it be 5-6 feet a second faster while it will even draw easier than it is now. I think they have a smoother draw cycle with the speed mod if you keep the speed relatively the same. If you leave the Lb. same it will draw a bit more harshly.

  • @KnightsoftheApex

    @KnightsoftheApex

    3 жыл бұрын

    Funny you mention that. Been messing with the speed mods the last week and love them. Took a few shots to reacclimate after coming from 90% let off but the bow holds even steadier and the felt vibration was less after the shot. Accuracy was unchanged from what I can tell going out to 70. I think I might stick to the speed mods and have it cranked up for the time being.

  • @MrFishguy60

    @DNA Nationalism It's just the FL mod. Just call a shop or call PSE and order them. I don't know that there is a link. They are used with all the Evolve cams. The HL mod that they ship their bows out with is 80%, 85%, and 90% let-off depending on what hole you position the draw stop in. The FL mod is 65%, 70%, and 75% let-off. I use all 3 of my PSE bows on the 75% setting with the FL Mod. You can look at the stamped number on the mod, the last 2 letters are HL for high let-off or FL for fast let-off.

    @@KnightsoftheApex I use the FL (Speed Mod) on all 3 of my PSE bows. I have an EVO 33 NXT at 50 Lb. for indoor and Safari. I have the Xpedite at 60 Lb. for 3-D. I have the Evolve 31 for hunting, set at 57 Lb. They all have the EC cam and they all hold better with the FL mod.

    I check my cam timing then set my nocking point for the direct middle of the string. I then set my rest off that for 90degrees. The cams are symmetrical and the riser allows for a center shot so that gets the cleanest arrow flight from what I have found. I just eye ball my left and right. Didn't have to touch that on this bow.

    Being a short draw archer I am debating between a Xpedite in 70 pounds or a Evo 31 in 80. It sounds like you are stating the Xpedite is more comfortable to shoot then the 31? My only concern is the short brace height and bulky clothes in cold weather.

  • @KnightsoftheApex

I want a speed bow 60#29" because the older I get I don't wanna pull back 70# in winter time haha and the bows now are so much better than the bows of old.. for example this bow with 60# limbs would prob shoot circles around my older elites on 70# I gaurentee that and now they all have 90% let off ..can u do a review on 70# 29 draw?

  • @KnightsoftheApex

    @KnightsoftheApex

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Josh, I believe the Xpedite I shot in my first impressions video was either 60 or 65#. The bow was quieter and the small hump before the valley was even smoother. I think this is a perfect option for what you are looking for and I actually know from talking to one of the PSE reps that he runs a similar setup just because he likes the added comfort for hunting situations. The Xpedite is a speed bow that doesn't feel like a speed bow. I know the 5.5" Brace Height intimidates some people but I have not found it to be any more sensitive than the longer brace height PSE's or other manufacturers I have shot.

  • @markbarefield7570

    Have the Evolve 35 , 5 years, and Beast 38, 2 years. Love me some PSE. Looking at another PSE or Elite this year. Have a 30” draw and draw 70#. Pro is telling me to go to 60# with a longer brace height for comfort. I’m not too much into comfort, more into taking animals. This may be a good compromise. 60# with a performance mood if they have one.

    As speed increases, wind resistance/drag increases exponentially - so whilst a bow might be extremely fast at close range, the farther you shoot the less advantage you get. If you double your speed, drag increases by a factor of 4x. So speed bows sound sexy, and they are... but momentum, efficiency and kinetic energy are more important!! So the advantage of a speed bow is to some degree in your head - you're better off increasing your point weight to have higher momentum and greater penetration. There are benefits to lighter bows... Eg, easier to hold for long periods, easier to maintain good form, less damage to your body and pain as you age etc. Make the smart choice. Use the upstairs brain!!
