I bought a PSE Omen last week and I LOVE it!! Can't wait to get after some Elk and Pronghorn with it!

I've been a PSE man for years the madness xs and surge , both shooting at high 270's found a strothers vital like brand new condition for couple bucks it has a monstrous hard back wall but it shoots a 456 grn. at 301fps. I do like PSE bows this one will probably bring me back the 80 lbs is calling me.good presentation.keep the video s coming

When you did the PSE EVO XF you raved about the smooth draw cycle, how do you feel this OMEN stacks up to it on the draw cycle alone? I got to shoot the Levitate and EVL today, and they were night and day differences in the draw cycle with the levitate being massively harder to pull at the exact same draw weight as the EVL, but the levitate was way faster through the Chrono.

I Shot the 80# Omen yesterday with a 675grain arrow with 268fps at 30,5“ draw. Very smooth draw. I had the Xpedite NXT before. It was a little bit faster with Speed Mods but it had a much harder draw cycle.

Fast fast fast! Just an observation- my Ritual 33 at 62#’s 28” 426 grain arrow does 272-273. Butter smooth draw and no dump. And yes, I’ve tweaked the threads a very little. At 72 years old 70 or 80 #’s is just too much.

My prime impact a 13yr old bow is shooting 277 with a 485gr arrow @ 70lbs 29.5 draw and it draws smooth no huge hump like we're seeing when you draw that omen. That's why I'm still shooting it , nothing new has felt as good to me. Like the video though

i have a full throttle at 70# and it does this but its miserable.. same cams oh you FEEL that cam turn over

There is certainly a hump but (to me) it’s shoots like a dream

I set up a #80 XF with E2 cams at 30" them arrows look like lazers

I bet!

I dont mind a hump in the draw cycle it doesn't effect hunting 99%of the time I've hardly ever had to creep my bow buck so slowly that it mattered. The draw cycle is the shortest mechanic to archery the hold and downrange accuracy are far more important in my opinion.

Dude great video everyone saying that the original omens and the full throttle is faster yes they were but options of a 90% let off and so much smoother draw is well worth loosing a couple feet per second my current bow build is a evo evl 34 shooting a 549 grain arrow 29 in draw and 70 lbs seeing a 259 fps average

I havnt shot the xpedite however the bow tech has (they carry them as well) and he said the omen is faster however as soon as they get the new shipment in I’ll be testing it!

From shooting both the xpedite only hits the ibo with fast mods on it, as where the omen is with hl mods for ibo ratings iirc

70lb Hoyt alpha x 450gr = 286-287. What am I missing?

Agreed, my RX7 ultra at 80 lbs is slinging a 425 gr arrow extremely fast. Haven't chronoed it but its smoking fast with a silky draw cycle.

Just like the xpedite pse

80 pounds and 80% let off and a 550 grain arrow is the way to go for hog hunting. This is a super nice killing machine.

What kind of speeds are you getting out of it with that setup? I typically cater to a heavier arrow being from Texas hunting on feeders and an abundance of hogs. Hope to take my endeavors to the mountains where slow arrows can break you.

@@gmoney7743 I'm 279 FPS when I tuned the bow and shot it thru the chrono. I'm 27.5 inch draw only.

My xpedite shoot a 517 gn arrow at 299.

Interesting. I just watched your true hunting speed video on the Mach 1 and it was getting 277 fps at 65 pounds and 28" draw, so if the Omen is only getting 280 that's pretty disappointing for a bow rated 20+ fps faster.

Honestly not a fan of the 90%+ letoffs. While it great for holding, during let down, you feel like you almost have to push your hand forward to get it past that “grabbing point”, and then immediately try to catch all 80lbs of it fractions of a second later. Makes for a lot of commotion if you are in a hunting situation and your deer/elk decided to stand behind cover for a while and it’s still within range so you don’t want to spook it in case it comes back into a shooting lane.

Not impressed. My Matthews vxr shooting a 423 grain arrow, at 65 lb 27 and a half inch draw, I'm shooting 285 ft a second.

I’ve personally shot all 3 side by side and the omen was the fastest @80lb 30” draw. The smoke doesn’t shoot even close to the advertised speed. The APA is neck and neck with the omen but is for sure harder drawing and feels a bit behind the curve with hand shock and draw.

The smoke was @70lbs because they don’t make a 80lb. But still shot slower than a 70lb omen e2.
