Excellent, very professional Review. I am impressed with both the bow and the reviewer. I got away from shooting a bow for a long time and this review helped me better understand features in a bow to look for that improve the quality and shootability of a good bow.

About as good of a review that I've ever heard on a bow! Fantastic job! I've shot the NXT 31 here recently and it's probably gonna be my next bow!! Keep up the great work!!

Dudley, Levi Morgan, and Aron Snyder have a whole library of great tuning and setup content that helped me get started but definitely going to be putting some of my own videos together based on questions I get consistently

I love your explanation of marketing. It was spot on. I’m excited to see Dudley at PSE. Sounds like they are allowing him creative freedom instead of being a walking talking robot.

Same here. Go to hear Duds talk for a bit at ATA and pumped for what he and PSE are going to develop in the future. That NXT NTN is already a great bow and they were pressed for time developing and releasing it.

Fantastic review.

Great video, the new PSE's have garnered a lot of my attention recently, I have a real interest in the 33"/35" models as I'm a taller shooter with a 30" draw. They also happen to be a hometown company for me, which as you mentioned about supporting your local archery shop, is a meaningful thing. I was one of the people who bought a Vertix after viewing Proving Ground several times, it is certainly a nice bow, but I can't say it's THE bow for me. I don't shoot short axle to axle bows well past 35-40 yards, they tend to float and the string angle is something I've struggled to get a good fit with. I also had a lot of issues with the tuning on the Vertix up until I read your article and one by Trail from goHunt, go figure I now have it shooting excellent through paper with only 6 days of season left.

Awesome review bud!! Going into buy new bow today this has just been added to my list of bows to shoot

Appreciate that! I'll always lay out my affiliation with companies so people can take that into account. Bias is inevitable at some point especially when you know the people behind the products and develop relationships with them but I'll at least let you all know about it. Regarding Elite, I like their features on paper and think it's great for the industry but my own experience is so limited with their new bows that I would basically be regurgitating their marketing material. I can't honestly say but I am working on getting a loaner for a prolonged period so I can speak to it better.

How do you figure the vxr is junk?

Great review on what I think should be the bow of the year in 2020!The evoke was a great bow last year but they improved it with the laid back limbs and the new rubber grip!You just cant beat the evolve cam with all the adjustability it has.

Had mine (NXT 31) for about a week now. Love it. A little scary compared to what I was used to "speed wise". Very pleasant to shoot, but I'm only at 60/70#'s. Seems very accurate for only 31" with an 8" stabilizer.

Nice video bro. Just picked up the NXT 33 yesterday. Getting her sighted. This is only my second bow, (MARTIN KESTRAL CAMS was first) but I must say I feel like a pro with this bow. I have a 30.5 " draw.

PSE has true IBO numbers. Nothing inflated. The Mach 1 is shooting my 495 gr hunting arrows at 288 fps. 29 draw 70 pounds.. Bad ass!

Love real world numbers! I'm a 28" but I'm only seeing 271 FPS with my 70 lb SR6. Debating a switch now...

I was sold on the expedite but the evo sure is intriguing.

The Synunm bow press works well with bows that have past parellel limbs. I have only used it on PSE bows so i don't know how it would work with other brands.

On the draw weight!! If I were to get a 50 pound draw, can I increase it to 70? Or is it just 50 to 60 pounds?

The speed difference from what you mentioned can totally come down to the step-up. You shot the Mathews 1/2 longer. Plus the brace height of the vertix is 1/2 shorter. So you had a total of 1 full inches more on the string. Most bows that can be 10 fps at equal settings. Then add the difference in weight. You may get 3 fps.

Totally. I was kinda of getting at that but didn't do a great job of explaining it. The Mathews is still faster but it's closer than the IBO speeds would have us believe.

Yeah man I pretty much only run SEVRs now. You'll really enjoy them. I'll definitely get around to a review video but probably going to wait until I kill with them again so I have some actual proof of effectiveness. In the meantime I have an older review article on the website if you want to check that out

Parts shoot everywhere...first time I’ve heard that I heard pull shoot explode before but honestly I have never considered a PSE til last year The evoke almost got my money Jump to now I have a evo nxt 31 in tan due in 2.5 weeks And a Mach 1 in fusion due in 19 days 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Wish they made an Evo NXT 28. I love shorter ata bows.

You've mentioned that you've used various bows including Hoyt, so what's your opinion on the Pro Force? I was thinking about buying one as a second bow but the price is a little too hot right now.

I haven't shot the Pro Force but it has the same cams as the RX series of bows from the past few years which I have shot a good deal and thoroughly enjoy so I imagine it would similar to that but with a longer more stable target riser.

Are these PSE Evolve cam system showing any early serving wearings anywhere around the cams?

Negative. With cheaper strings you'll get some separation on the cables eventually but nothing that impacts performance.

I have not tried the speed mod. I believe they can be purchased from PSE through your dealer but you can probably call PSE to verify.

Way too many strings to be able to try them all and test a "best" but of the ones I've tried GAS, Hogwire and Addiction Custom Archery are great. Heard awesome things about ABB platinum series.

It is true. And the Xpedite is basically a faster Evo. It really doesn't feel like a totally different bow. The rest of the 2021 lineup is being announced tomorrow so we'll see what they drop!

Great review. Maybe leave the bow quiver off so we can see more of the bow.

They both shoot great I think the deciding factor would be do you hunt in blinds or stands where a shorter bow would be easier to manage.

I’m a 29 1/2 draw length and shoot an evolve 35. Longer ata is so much more forgiving.

Heard great things about Tight Spot and have been asked about it a lot so wanted to give it a go. So far so good but I do recommend the double gripper add on if you run mechanicals

Judging from your specs and the speed you achieved shooting this bow, wouldn't the IBO on your bow be closer to 340???

That's what I was getting at but in my first attempt at a proper review I think my message got a bit lost in certain spots . The IBO speed of this bow is miss-leading. I saw in one of Dudley's recent posts he commented that his pin gaps actually got tighter. That says a lot considering the Hoyt IBO's at 15-20fps faster than the PSE on paper. This cam is more efficient especially on the lower DL end than most.

Add 12 feet a second to Every PSE NXT They underrated there bows this year! Love the 2020 PSE Bows! Going to be getting the PSE NXT 31! In my opinion best bow of 2020! I shot every flagship bow this year!

Zebra strings are 240$ for a set of strings. Mathews has tons of hours and money behind there strings.

​@@capricornmagic63 fair enough. I don't post many kill photos so that's a bit out of character for me but I did it to show reference for the size of the lizard. And it was in it's chest not neck. Not sure it's any less sensitive that a pig on a spit or however else animals are displayed at the grocery store but I could see your point as well

I did and no offense to Gear 101 but blank bailing a bare bow a dozen or so times at ATA does not qualify as a review. That's a first impression at best. He claimed the PSE had one of the worst cam cycles but then went on the praise the draw cycle of the Obsession. Which is funny because Obsession licensed and used the exact same cam design that's on the PSE... That's his opinion and he's entitled to it but some of the logic in his "best" and "worst" videos had some holes in it.

Nothing wrong with Mathews strings. Just learn, or find someone who can tune your bow. Hoyt has all Mathews Technology.

Parts Shoot Everywhere? Sorry I have to disagree. I am not a fan boy of any company I have owned and shot them all since 1990. But PSE is still around for a reason I killed my first deer with a PSE Polaris 30 years ago great bow great company loved your review but I cant agree with that analogy. I currently own 1 PSE 1 GEARHEAD 1 HOYT 1 Mathews 2 Elites so not a fan boy of any specific company

Hey man I love PSE and the people behind the brand. This was my favorite bow and I've since started working with PSE and am running their new Xpedite. But they did go through a time where their hunting bows were known for being violent. They are far from that place now but when I made this vid it was before they revamped their marketing efforts and a lot of people were holding them to these old stereotypes. Which was my whole point, they have come such a long way and their bows should be considered alongside any other flagship model because they are absolutely top notch.

@@crickratcrossbowhuntingand9321 I agree wholeheartedly but to Mathews credit they have the greatest marketing machine in the industry and bows that are so quiet and vibration free that they win over every undiscerning shooter who walks into their local pro shop, blank bails into a bag target and doesn't know to pay attention to details like valley, balance, and grip torque. It's been a winning formula for them despite the fact PSE, Prime, Hoyt and other manufacturers have superior platforms in most other areas.

@@KnightsoftheApex We agree on that. Like I said I am not a Fan boy of any company I shoot what is the best feeling for me. But I have to ask did you have a PSE blow up on you? If you did or did not It could be an isolated incident to say that their bows are violent and parts shoot everywhere is just a terrible way to describe what may or may not of been an isolated problem with one bow. All companys have had their bows explode at one time or another, I had a Mathews Mission crossbow explode derail and twist the limbs and frame of the crossbow. I am not going to say that is the case for every crossbow and bow they make for a set period of time.

Check the post date and feel free or look back at any articles where I discuss PSE. I've been saying the same thing since last year's Evoke. I'm definitely a Dudley fan but it is possible for two individuals to come to the same conclusion independent of one another and I'm hardly the only one to have this opinion of PSE.

Alex Roan He had no clue about Dudley moving to PSE at the time this was posted. And I totally agree. The PSE Evo nxt is the most underrated bow this year for sure! I also said the same thing about the evoke last year. Go on the PSE Facebook group and look👍🏼
