2021 MERCEDES GLE 350 trailer hitch / receiver installation info
I installed a Draw Tire hitch on my 2021 Mercedes GLE 350 and it required the removal of the bumper bar / support. I didn’t like that because of how much the rear bumper flexed when you pushed on it so I went back in and figured out how to put it back on. This video will also be super helpful for anyone installing the hitch for the first time as it shows how to take everything apart. The instructions that came with the hitch were obviously written by some who has never done it and had some unnecessary steps and they were also missing some stuff. But they do tell you exactly where to cut the hole in the bumper facia which is very helpful.

Awesome job. My wife just picked up her 2020 GLE350 and we are definitely looking at adding a tow hitch after watching this video.

I did not do the wiring. I put the hitch on to carry bikes. If I do end up doing the wiring, I'll make another video and add a link to it.
Do you know what tow capacity this type of tow hitch gives you?
Where did you get the trailer hitch?
NOTE: When Mercedes puts one of their factory hithes, the aluminum bumper bar is not installed on those vehicles.
