Good instructions. I will say my 2017 GLE350 required both a T30 and a T40 Torx bit. The T40 was needed for the anchor points with the plastic covers you pop off with a flat blade screw driver on either side. All others were T30s. No big deal but I had to do a 2nd hardware store run to get one after getting the T30 as I had no bit set with these sizes. I suppose it’s possible Mercedes used both sizes in ‘17 GLE350s so either check beforehand or just get both. Only a couple bucks for the extra bit. Thanks UHaul for doing these videos!!

This video would have been great if it shows what to do if you wanted a 7 pole connection with electric braking from a brake controller from the driver.

I don’t understand why all my local Uhauls say they can only install the hitch but won’t do any work regarding the wiring for our 2019 GLS 450. We have been told over and over again they won’t touch any wiring with any Mercedes.......

Sorry to hear that. Some installers aren't comfortable working on the wiring for some Mercedes. What area are you in and what's a good email we can contact you at? We'll find you a location that will do it.
