GLE 350 4Matic has a Max tongue weight of 617 lbs, which is less than 10% of its 7700 lbs tow capacity, which means I can only tow a trailer with a weight of less than 6170lb, correct?

So up to 7170#. I asked my dealer and they told me my GLE 350 was rated at 7k of towing but based off of your statement it is likely a slight bit over. 7 k is more than enough, that is enough to pull cars or a small to midsize camper
